AMF / GA Training ;; Is AMF worth it? (in General)

Lefty August 22 2009 12:35 PM EDT

I have been looking at a few battle logs, figured out exactly how AMF worked, and looked at the levels on my character and began to wonder..

Is AMF worth training the EXP I put into it, or would it be better put into GA?

Guardian Angel is a main damage source I use, being an RoS build, so the more GA I have the better. My AMF and GA are trained on the same minion, and AMF only recieves 1/4 EXP while GA eats up the other 3/4. After looking at it, I realized that where my character is at now, DD spells grow at a much faster pace, which makes my AMF weaker and weaker.. and then NSCs come in and make it hurt even more.

This is where I am left with a couple questions..

Should I re-train and only have a 100-150k AMF for Decays?
-- The extra levels in GA would help with damage output, because I am not hitting the maximum retaliation on several opponents. It would also help against DM, as the extra levels would take the place of the levels that get knocked by DM now when it gets through my RoS.

Synopsis: Higher GA, More Damage. No more AMF damage.

Should I just keep training AMF the way it is, and have it get weaker and weaker?
-- It seems like a waste of EXP I could be using, as it will only die over time.

If you guys have any insight, I'd love to hear it!
Thanks.

Your strategy looks a lot like mine and I use a 100k AMF. But with AoF my GA minion is almost half GA / half DM. But yes, having GA at max retaliation is a must for high HP/GA teams, since it is the main source of damage.

My DM is trained to a point where I am going to keep it, as it is only trained to counter VA, as I usually lose against teams with it active.

Here's another question then.

Should I move my DM onto my GA Minion, and my AMF onto my Second AS minion?

This would still allow me to get more GA levels, since I no longer train DM. Although the initial re-train would take levels away from GA overall.

It would also give me more AS on the other minion.

Thats what I did yup. 100k AMF rest AS, half GA/half DM, full AS, then my mage.

It wouldn't be half DM with GA, but that's the idea I was thinking of.

Anyone elses input? Or is Rawr the professional with this build?

Rawr is the man.

And yes 100k AMF is all you need.

Yes Rawr is the Pro at this particular build. He was one of the most successful NUB's in CB history with this build and has had plenty of time to tweak it to make it better.

AMF is only good early on with this build. Now that your higher up it is better to untrain it all and put it in GA or you can go GA/DM. Also you should untrain the decay since its probably hurting you more than helping.
