Out of Money Out of Time Out to Lunch (in General)

Shark August 25 2009 3:38 AM EDT

So whats the normal procedure here now when you realize that this game cost too much to play?

Do we just make another "Everything for Sale "post like the rest of the lemmings?

Kill minions off and sell their stuff until Im down to none seems to be the best choise

I dont feel like ANOTHER NCB...I cant afford to play and makes me sad

anymore options?

I hate giving up I do I do but I hate throwing my money away even more...

If you can't afford to stay in the flow of the game , up your NW when you need to, then you get washed out and you just become another dead azzed ID for future CB fodder..

You could always wait for tournaments or play other games as well as CB.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] August 25 2009 3:44 AM EDT

Why can't you afford to play? Last time I checked the game was free.

blackshadowshade August 25 2009 3:51 AM EDT

Shark, I don't know how much you've untrained on your previous characters, but you don't seem to have even reached 1M MPR non any of your characters. (Perhaps you've sold a character or something ...)

Perhaps it would be worth playing a character long enough that you reach a decent MPR and thus can earn a decent amount of CB$ by fighting. Or perhaps you might try going with a very specialised strategy and use it to fight a long way up, which is always a lot of fun. :)

I have spent a grand total of 0.00$ on this game so far (yes, even the supportership was a contest prize)... I wouldn't exactlt call that expensive :D

"I dont feel like ANOTHER NCB...I cant afford to play [...]"

Run an NCB, not buying any BA. You'll have plenty of money or gear at the end, and a good-sized tattoo.

Or you could just run a team like a 4-minion RoS team that doesn't require much of anything to run.

Shark August 25 2009 6:23 AM EDT

well I see that the point I was making missed most of you since you have trained so much "DENIAL" into your programming.

AdminShade August 25 2009 6:37 AM EDT

I've not spent a single usd in the game myself but I haven't had any real problems of staying into the flow of the game.

Just keep on going and instead of quitting, just play on without USD (parhaps aided by mage based strategy)

Tyriel [123456789] August 25 2009 6:39 AM EDT

Perhaps instead of veiling your point, you could clear up our "DENIAL" so that we may appropriately reply to what you're trying to say.

Just forge, save up cash. Run one NCB make sure it gets to 3.5mil mpr and your sub top

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2009 7:06 AM EDT

out of patience, out of drive out of dedication ; )

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] August 25 2009 7:08 AM EDT

Run one NCB make sure it gets to 3.5mil mpr and your sub top

You forgot to add "without a chance to ever make a serious push for the top"

Burton August 25 2009 7:47 AM EDT

Why did you retire your character with all your gear on him? Sounds dumb and a waste of 50k to have to unretire him.

Cube August 25 2009 10:04 AM EDT

Unretiring is free and you can do it by yourself from 4 to 9 days after retiring.

Last time I checked, I spent $10 on this game for supportership and I'm not exactly poor on this game either. Just spend your monies wisely and NCB with a cheap AS, AS, AS, GA and familiar strategy.

QBRanger August 25 2009 11:00 AM EDT

Shadowsparkle has not spend any money on the game except perhaps for supporter items or supportership.

And look at all the cash he has on his characters.

TheHatchetman August 25 2009 11:26 AM EDT

I play without USD... I am obsessed with what is likely the most nw-reliant strat in CB (heavy tank ftw!)... I've hit the #1 spot on a few occasions, and held a top 10 spot on countless more... It takes forever to do things, but if it didn't take an insane amount of effort to get to the upper ranks, and more specifically the top, then how rewarding would it really be?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2009 11:38 AM EDT

perhaps you came back and tried to do it all with one ncb run. ncb runs work much better when focused. you can: build a tat, gear up, improve gear or max mpr. if you try to do more than one of those however, it won't work out that well for your team.

you also have to understand that it will likely be impossible to buy ba (unless maxing mpr in which case you put all money back into ba especially at bonus xp times) so you need to be able to get all of your natural ba regen in. you will also need a max challenge bonus for as long as you can so a good strategy for your level of gear is a must. for example, if you just came back with no resources, you probably wouldn't want to run a melee team unless it was a jiggy one but a mage would likely be better to grow that tattoo.

after your tattoo is a good level you do another run and work on gearing up a full team. once that is accomplished you can work on maxing mpr.

that would take 18 months if you run them back to back. the only way to shorten that time is with usd injection. i am just glad to have some option as opposed to cb1. ; )

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2009 11:49 AM EDT

^actually, 12 months or 2 ncb runs could get you a top 50 mpr team fairly easily as your tat would grow in both the gearing up phase as well as the max mpr one as long as your challenge bonus was kept high.
