Economy report Monday August 31st. (next ones should all be made on Sundays, wanted to make it last night but was tired, anyway let me get started)
I'm not sure what full stats were given the last time this was done but I'm now just making a long list and make a presentation format for it later.

Anyway you can compare it to the last one from almost 1 year ago?
In a table form like Lam?

Yes Ranger, I should be able to, but not tonight.
I took a quick look at his coding and it is huge. I had hoped to come up with a reasonably small coding in which I could put this all in easily but perhaps I should make a thread for it to have someone think of such a thing for me :)
why not just make it in a gooogle docs spreadsheet using the tabs and link it here?
either way, thanks for carrying the torch! ; )

dudemus, while google docs are perhaps useful, I have no idea how to use them as of yet...
if there is a guide to using them, perhaps give me a link to it. Making a spreadsheet thing for it would be nice, alternatively I could host files on my CBstuff.nl website.

Google Docs is fairly straight forwards. You can use normal Microsoft Office/Openoffice to create a spreadsheet and just upload it as a google doc.

"upload it as a google doc."
That is where you lose me at the moment... :$
yeppers, if ya can use excel google docs spreadsheets are a piece of cake. even if you were a lotus 1.2.3 user you can figure it out as well. if you have never used a spreadsheet program, then it is likely not the best idea.
docs.google.com > create account and log in > find the upload file button

I know Microdork's Excel so I'm no stranger to spreadsheets.
Figured out how to upload it also. Now to make a template and how to arrange everything in the document :)

::shakes head::
Shade, thanks for giving this a shot. Good luck not getting burnt out.

Good, that is the way I want it to be.
Tomorrow after work I will be working on getting some of the information in the spreadsheet. Have to find a easy to view way of displaying it all, perhaps in multiple sheets with a menu on page 1? Give me ideas in
_this_ thread please.

Bump.
Check out version 1 and give me comments!
Like I said in chat, it would be nice if you could rip off Lamu's HTML.
And I doubt you would need to use ver. 5.

While I could rip off his version 4 code, it's still a big chunk of code while I think I have no way of editing it nicely...
from his post in this thread, i think jon wanted them done differently than when lammy did them:

Good to hear, think of things which I should include btw!
Holy Crap! If this doesn't tell you what Nub has done I don't know what does...
Last Year:
Liquid assets
5,305,262,620
Total NW
36,832,615,232
This Year:
Total liquid assets:
7,002,796,847
Total item net worth:
53,395,384,968
almost 1.7 billion more liquid nw and 17 billion total item nw!!!!
thats only over a one year span... and just think in 2008 CB had only been around 3 and a half years or so in august... maybe this might prove that Nub is a little overpowered with its huge cash influx?

Please when you read this and look at the Economic Report, let me know what you think of it and also please do give me comment on things!
Don't think you are nitpicking!!! And if you think, oh well all looks good, give me that feedback also because I rely on it to make it 'perfect'
i like it shade, perhaps it could just be a larger font across the board though for us old farts?
AdminShade
September 3 2009 11:48 AM EDT
Upped the font size from 10 to 11, how does that look?
AdminShade
September 3 2009 11:55 AM EDT
14? I think that would be overly large somehow... what resolution are you using then?
1680 X 1050 which is the native resolution of my lcd monitor.
AdminShade
September 3 2009 12:10 PM EDT
hmmm, 14 is really big... :(
the font options on my end were greyed out so that i couldn't just do it here, but i did find that ctrl + works to zoom in firefox. so no worries shade!

"Dudemus, I don't like font size 14 :( mostly because you need to merge cells so much :("
I just saw that. I also like how Google Docs shows your RL names in the corner. Thanks, Dennis!

Yay, and indeed my name is Dennis.
I have added 1 more week as history, though it is a very tedious job so if you want more history, make me lists which I can copy into it ;)
Is there any way to extract data on which weapons or armors are actually used on characters? (As opposed to just lying in the equipment, or being on inactive characters.) Preferably the ones that have been fought with at least once with in a week. It would not be very exact but still interesting to see...
I realize this probably is too much trouble :P
AdminShade
September 4 2009 1:52 AM EDT
I do not have any conventional and easy way to perform such query.
It would involve checking every and all active character to see what equipment it has...
Draco, while the liquid assets has risen, we lost over 100 players in the last year. Thats -alot- of people.
AdminShade
September 4 2009 2:17 AM EDT
True, but while we lost players, still the amount of liquid assets is going through the roof...
AdminShade
September 4 2009 2:20 AM EDT
... or not, if you see the simple calculations I have made to take the average per week.
(gap in between last one and the previous one is 1 year and a few weeks, so I took 54 weeks)
Then you even see a decline in the amount of liquid assets, but an increase in NW build up!
