Familiar Positioning (in General)

Can someone tell me how I can get my SF in the 2nd slot, and still have it on my high HP minion if I train a DD on him?

Basically, what I am looking to do is train a DD on my junction minion. When I do this, my familiar jumps in front of him. I don't want that. I tried equipping a base ELS on the junction minion, but the familiar doesn't budge. Just stays in front and gets toasted.

Is what I am asking even possible?

move the PL minion to the left? Then it should be PL minion, familiar, DD minion

Dark Dreky October 6 2009 11:08 AM EDT

I want DD minion, familiar, PL minion.

No dice?

no dice, only way to get that is to move the familiar on the PL minion, but you don't want that.

What a lame problem to have.

Hire another minion.

Brakke Bres [Ow man] October 6 2009 11:29 AM EDT

That would do it, but I am not sure if that is what Dreky wants

QBRanger October 6 2009 11:29 AM EDT

But as you stated, it would be the only way.

Yeah, wasn't looking for a 3 minion set up. But, I guess I will hire another minion soon. Meh.

I petition for familiar positioning!

Have you tried the token melee route? Since DD trumps melee weapons it shpuldnt pose a problem. I know there was a way by dping that by equipping an ES to change the placement of the familiar. I don't remember the placement and Im on my phone & dont want to navigate :-/

The minion with the familiar only appears in front of the familiar if the minion has no offensive spells or weapons.
