AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 18 2010 2:31 AM EST

NightStrike is more awesome than a monkey knife fight, users rejoice!

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 18 2010 3:21 AM EST

My Log Out button now spreads over two lines. :(

AdminShade January 18 2010 3:35 AM EST

my log out is still only partially readable...
i.e. I read 'Log ou'

AdminNightStrike January 18 2010 1:59 PM EST

Get a better browser :)

AdminG Beee January 18 2010 2:11 PM EST

My Log out is on two
separate lines.

Firefox 3.5.7

Old laptop with 1024x768 max resolution however.. :(

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] January 18 2010 2:13 PM EST

1280x1024 Firefox latest version and I get Log Out on two lines as well.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] January 18 2010 2:13 PM EST

My log out is spread over 2 lines as well. There's something better than FireFox?

QBRanger January 18 2010 2:15 PM EST

Having 2 lines gives you twice the chance to hit the log out button.

Is not twice the ability better?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 18 2010 2:18 PM EST

filthy braggarts! i still do not even have a log out option. ; (

Kompton Kidd January 18 2010 4:13 PM EST

dudemus, thats because you're here for life.

TheHatchetman January 18 2010 4:14 PM EST

Aren't we all?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] January 18 2010 4:39 PM EST

My log ou is like Shade's. But, on my phone the left frame still takes up like 3/4s of my screen.

AdminNightStrike January 18 2010 4:48 PM EST

Well, I thought it was only IE that was borked, since chrome worked. So I guess Chrome/Safari users are ok..........

I'll make the div a few pixels wider, though.

Natasha January 18 2010 4:52 PM EST

much better, thank you.

AdminNightStrike January 18 2010 4:53 PM EST

You'll need to do Ctrl-Refresh if your browser is caching the CSS.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] January 18 2010 5:46 PM EST

Much prettier, thank you.

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] January 18 2010 5:50 PM EST

Yep, now its all fitting on 1 line.

Unappreciated Misnomer January 18 2010 5:59 PM EST

this is what my left tab looks like:

things need to be arrange according to the left side.

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 18 2010 6:13 PM EST

Woot go Safari! :D

AdminNightStrike January 18 2010 6:23 PM EST

US - I don't know what you are trying to say

AdminG Beee January 18 2010 6:29 PM EST

Hardly an emergency, but still on two lines for me.

Definitely due to the resolution of this laptop (max 1024x768) as it works perfectly well on my other one at 1920x1080 and indeed lower.

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 18 2010 6:30 PM EST

refreshed a bunch of times and its still 2 lines for me as well no big deal just isn't aesthetically pleasing

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] January 18 2010 6:37 PM EST

edy: clear all of your browser history.

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] January 18 2010 6:39 PM EST

Resolution shouldn't affect anything because the sidebar is fixed width. Try clearing all caches to fix the two-line problem.

AdminG Beee January 18 2010 6:41 PM EST

Already had done before I posted Slayer.

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 18 2010 6:45 PM EST

everything clears when i close my browser and still no difference

AdminShade January 19 2010 1:27 AM EST

still 2 lines here, not mobile but FF on windoze

AdminShade January 19 2010 1:46 PM EST

bump & question: will this be fixed or is this a non existing issue?
On my Firefox (last version) it displays as:

Help! Home Settings Log
out

QBRanger January 19 2010 1:49 PM EST

On IE, where I work it displays normally on one line.

IndependenZ January 19 2010 2:02 PM EST

It's fine on my Firefox now, Shade. Also latest version.

AdminG Beee January 19 2010 2:02 PM EST

Bizarrely enough it's ok for me now.

AdminNightStrike January 19 2010 2:26 PM EST

Sometimes it's hard to get FF to clear stuff out.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 19 2010 2:31 PM EST

holding down shift when clicking refresh this frame *SHOULD* force it to check for updated content

AdminShade January 19 2010 5:46 PM EST

Ahh, worked! :D

AdminShade January 19 2010 5:46 PM EST

On a side note, it also works on old IE ;p

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 19 2010 8:06 PM EST

still looks like this for me

Help! Home Settings Log
out

* Refer A Friend! *

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 19 2010 10:15 PM EST

Ed: try holding down shift while you right click and select refresh this frame

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 20 2010 3:18 AM EST

no difference at all still, looks bad

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 20 2010 3:51 AM EST

Works for me now! ;)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 23 2010 4:35 AM EST

Are you still supposed to be allowed to resize it manually?

AdminNightStrike January 23 2010 2:06 PM EST

Sure

kevlar January 23 2010 2:31 PM EST

Mine is the same where the "out" of Log out is below Help! Rereshing doesn't help.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 23 2010 2:55 PM EST

hasn't been resizable on FF for a long time

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 24 2010 5:29 AM EST

Ah cool! I just did by accident, and wondered wether it was supposed to be of fixed width now. ;)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 24 2010 7:39 PM EST

I've got a problem with the sidebar tonight, donno if it's something at my end. All the links at the top are squashed together, and when I try to hover over anything, it brings up scroll bars and resizes itself. :/

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 24 2010 7:45 PM EST

LoL! Scratch that, somehow my IE had managed to fail and resize everything. ;)

AdminNightStrike January 24 2010 8:24 PM EST

Resizing the sidebar has been allowed for a very long time.

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 26 2010 5:13 AM EST

still looks like this for me

Help! Home Settings Log
out

* Refer A Friend! *

AdminNightStrike January 26 2010 6:06 AM EST

Edyit, given that you and kevlar are the only people with a problem, I'm leaning towards settings on your side. I checked it in IE7,IE8,FF, and chrome

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2010 6:18 AM EST

will ctrl - shrink it make it go to one line for you two?

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 26 2010 1:56 PM EST

odd NS, since it displays it that way on both my home and work comp, it's really no big deal, just looks kinda funny.

kevlar January 26 2010 2:11 PM EST

I don't know what settings we are missing? The only thing that 'fixes' it is if I set the page zoom to 99%, but even that much is hard on my eyes, because I'm so used to the current format.

AdminNightStrike January 26 2010 2:44 PM EST

Are you guys using larger fonts?

kevlar January 26 2010 8:25 PM EST

I went through all the font sizes, ends up it only effects the text that is displayed in the drop down boxes. My font is set to medium though.

Adminedyit [Superheros] January 26 2010 9:17 PM EST

nope, all default settings here

Demigod January 26 2010 9:37 PM EST

Shoot. I meant to verify this today, but I forgot. The text line appears perfectly fine on my home monitor (1680x1050) using Firefox, and it appears fine on the crappy unknown-resolution CRT in my office using IE. However, as of a week ago, I was having the same text wrapping problem on my work laptop using IE.

kevlar January 28 2010 5:53 AM EST

I'm just confused, if people are now having a problem with the change, why can't it be reversed until the fix can be made for all? Or is CB now a cell phone priority game? ...

AdminNightStrike January 28 2010 6:00 AM EST

kevlar, why would you say something like that? Think logically about it. If 99% of CB was able to clear their cache and have it work, and you and edyit are the only ones where it doesn't work.... what do you expect? If you can't get your browser to get new CSS files, then nothing I change will matter.

kevlar January 28 2010 11:28 AM EST

I don't know. That wasn't a good thing to say. Just stinks being on the short end of the stick with this change. My bad. I just have always despised Windows Vista... always, and can't afford to go to Win 7. I 99.9999% believe Vista is the reason behind the problem, like any problem that I have had on this computer. An uncalled vent, I apologize. It would be nice to find a way to get those CSS files updated that you mention. It's strange, I just can not adjust to the 99% zoom. I'm one that if something is broke, I like to fix it. And when I can't, it's frustrating. NS if anything I hope you know I am a huge fan of all the work you do for the game, I'll go bury my head in the sand for a while.

AdminNightStrike January 28 2010 4:13 PM EST

kevlar:
I can tell you that right now, I am posting from a Vista machine running IE8 at a resolution of 1024x768 (I swear I don't usually use that resolution! Honest!) There's no issues at all.

Post a screenshot of your situation. Maybe I'll notice something out of whack.

kevlar February 3 2010 7:26 PM EST

Was something adjusted lately? I haven't done anything since the last post, but the Log out is appropriately placed now.
