nov's name and AVI, not quite a match? (in Off-topic)

Seriously... that's pretty big talk for a guy whose team gave up a 3-0 lead and had to depend on terrible calls to eek out an OT win.

See, when we handed the sharkies the worst loss they've had in years (7-2 for those who weren't aware) it was all... "oh we were sooo tired after such a long road trip"... but when the Hawks still win at the end of THEIR long road trip it's all... "oh the refs cheated us! booooo!"

The numbers don't lie. The Sharks are in first place, one of the best teams in hockey right now... and the Hawks know how to beat em. :D

I noticed that after watching your guys' bet. I thought it was pretty goofy to put that in the avi after losing a fair bet.. you'd think that you wouldn't have to have stipulations on Avatars, tourney names, etc. for a bet to be lived up to tastefully.

hatch do you know even what I was talking about? They made a bet whoever lose a game would have to have the other say their team sux. Nov goes ahead and puts in his avatar and in tourney name that the opponent's team sux. Sorry, but a good sport would honor a bet and keep from 'exploiting' wherever possible... but a creature of habbit shall not be tamed :P JBob, I'll take a bet on the Pens anyday...and I won't do a run-around on a bet

(Shade, I don't have a problem with the names, I luv hockey and I thought their bet was really cool and was fun to follow. I think naming the other venues after a loss on a bet that didn't have a 100 page contract attached to it is pretty cheese though. If I pulled that kind of hat-trickery around my friends, I would definitely hear about it! And it wouldn't be pop-corn and cotton candy conversation ;)

So, I gotta say thanks to Kevlar for no other reason than in chiming in on this thread he showed that he's looking out for someone else and not himself. Two big thumbs up to Kev...

Having said that, at first I was a bit put off when I noticed nov's picture AND tourney character... my first thought was ... poor sport... but then I thought, but nov ISN'T a poor sport. I wouldn't bet my house on it, but I'd guess that way if I had to. The back and forth between him and I in chatmail has been nothing short of friendly and entertaining. PLUS after thinking about it for a minute, I realized that by having that AVI and tourney character, it shows that he MUST have lost a bet or something in order to have an AWESOME name like novice(HawksRule). So, it makes me happy.

And I feel bad for him. It's gotta be tough when a second place team IZ UP IN DA TANK MAKIN DEM LOOZE!
