Can someone please look at this auction and tell me if I am reading things incorrect:

I must be missing the problem.

QBRanger February 11 2010 10:39 AM EST

To clarify.

I bid up to 899,999 but my bid showed only 550k or so over supercowgirl.

Then Mr. C came along and bid over my top bid, then Kevlar came and took it from Mr. C.

Or am I just reading things wrong?

$1,000,000 kevlar ( Pack Mule Service )
$992,249 Central Bank ( Mr. Chairman )
$899,999 Ranger ( Heroes )
$500,000 supacowgirl ( SourDoughDeathTrip )
$499,999 Ranger ( Heroes )
$199,999 Ranger ( Heroes )

My question is why did Mr. C use my max bid to overbid and not the 550k that overbid supercowgirl?

Unless Kevlar bid up to about 899,998, then my bid showed up then he overbid after Mr. C.

But I have noticed a couple times, that Mr. C has used my max bid instead of what the current overbid would possibly be.

Or I could be dreaming.

^ I was getting ready to say what you just said. I haven't noticed him max bidding, but I could be wrong.

I believe you're right that there's something wrong with Mr. C Ranger.

I also believe he unfairly stole an Amulet of Junction from me. -_-

kevlar made a maximum bid of 1 million outbidding both you and Mr C at the same time, it displays your max bid, then Mr C's, then his final bid.

I see nothing wrong.

TheHatchetman February 11 2010 10:59 AM EST

looks to me like kevlar set a max bid of 1m after Ranger set his last bid. When kevlars bid was set, it likely raised Ranger's bid to max, then outbid by the minimum incriment (somewhere thereabouts 945k). Mr Chairman then comes in with Central Bank and bids the next incriment higher (992k). Which would also explain how he got the item for 8k more than CB's bid when the next incriment shoulda been closer to 1,041,000.

ah, makes sense now.
