if both characters have a ranged attack but only one has a helm of clearsight does:
a. both teams get 6 ranged and 44 melee rounds,
b. hoc team gets 6 ranged and 44 melee while non-hoc team gets 5 ranged & 44 melee or
c. hoc team gets 6 ranged and 44 melee while the non-hoc team gets 5 ranged & 45 melee?
if i understand the wiki correctly, it may be:
d. the hoc minion gets six rounds of ranged while the non-hoc gets five and they both get 45 melee rounds?
The non-hoc team has to just sit through the extra round. So its basically b.
so it doesn't just add a ranged round for the hoc user but also takes away a melee round for the non-user. wow!
another weird thing is if no one fires in ranged, the EH starts decaying in melee.

Yes,
There are 50 rounds total in combat.
Whether there are 6/44 (missile/melee) or 5/45 or 0/50 or 1/49 the program stops combat when 50 rounds total have been fought.
So it does sort of suck if one team has a missile round and the other does not.
In some cases it can be 6/44 for one character and 0/44 for the other.
Yay for 50 melee rounds :)
