Edit: Initial posting (in General)

I would like to propose an option to be able to go back and edit your own posts, mostly the initial section and title of a thread but not limited to and could include additions to ones own post. This would not include editing another's post or deleting a post.

An option to prevent abuse could be a small icon that would say something like "This post has been edited" and would link you to the original post.

Reason behind this.
1.Preventing double posting (not a big deal).
2.Not having you and others look at your grammar, spelling and typing mistakes.(I almost always check my work before I post it but I still mess up).
3.Other more obvious mistakes like saying a game starts tonight but starts tomorrow.
4.Community run contests could be updated like an admin updates tournament posts.
5.More reason others could think of.

Thank you for your time. :-)

I can see two reason to edit my own post. I did double check it too.

Ask an Admin to correct mistakes?
Being able to change your own post can be misused and abused far too much to be worth it. (especially contests)

Hmmm well true maybe make Contests work a bit differently with OP Editing than the rest like FS/WTB is different?

Well I could ask but it would be pesky of me...Your not my English teacher nor a babysitter.

Updating contest would and could be an easy option for a short term solution each time. But could there not be measures in place to prevent abuse?
