During the Tutorial at the part when it asks me to hire another minion, I got stuck. I made 3 other characters now, and I still didn't get through that part :((((((.

It's a common problem. An admin should be able to help out shortly.

This is Shade here (not DarkShade)
Now you have a second Minion, but he doesn't have enough Experience to learn a spell yet.
Experience: 35
This is seriously annoying because the minion _does_ have enough experience to learn a spell! I'd say this bug needs to be fixed as soon as possible because many new players get stuck on this and only a handful report problems with it. I guess the other new players will certainly say something in the lines of:
This game sucks, I'm leaving.
Turn the tutorial off period

DarkShade, I ran out of BA trying to help you.
What I need you to do, is use the 2nd character (DarkShadeTutorial) and fight the few more battles the tutorial is asking for.
Then follow what it says and you'll be out of the tutorial. It shouldn't take more than 10 BA I think.
I think the tutorial has lived long past its usefulness, if it ever had such a feat.

And you're out of the tutorial :)

Seriously, if a tutorial has any chance of doing more harm than good, then it should be taken out. That is, unless very helpful Admins, like Shade, is willing to spend all their time helping every new player out of the tutorial.

You tried shade, that's what matters.
Don't blame him tho. My friend quite for the same reason. The tutorial got stuck on telling him to hire a new minion. He did like 10 times. Hire hire hire, fire, hire, fire, new character, hire hire hire hire. Ended up accidentally firing his single minion with all his exp on it. Not a huge lose for only playing for an hour or two but very annoying and a huge let down.
I would say the majority of people who get stuck on the tutorial get stuck on the hire minion.
If nothing else, that little part should be fixed.
I don't get why we keep a terrible tutorial. If I start a new game and start getting glitches, i.e. stuck in a tutorial, I am going to quite it without a second thought.
I was stuck in tutorial for 3 months...mostly because I was a dumb.
But also because of previous experience I ignored everything it said for me to do.
At the very least have an option to leave tutorial and play on your own.
heh. I did everything the tutorial told me to do and i still had the inspect "blah" item on there, finally went away after my nub was gone.
i would love to see pre-tutorial player retention statistics contrasted to the same post-tutorial.

How about a quit tutorial button?

Please kill the tutorial with fire.
The wiki should be enough.

How about we just change the tutorial for Zen's new player message?

A tutorial should always be optional, in my opinion...
I think that may solve future situations like this one: making the tutorial an optional feat, and increase the rewards for completing it.
This may give incentive for people to attempt the tutorial, while making it optional for people who would rather find things out by trial and error (or those in a hurry to start the game).
