N*B when is it supposed to end again? (in General)

Okay from what I understand the N*B is supposed to end on the last day Mentioned. Like mine ended on Blah day then at Cache flush for the next day it is over.


Now I have noticed that Joel's NUB is already over. Weird to me because I thought it would end tonight or rather tmw morning at Cache Flush. I remember Ranger mentioning something similar with Heroes' last day of NCB.

Has something changed and I'm just behind the bar or is this a bug or something else. Changelog?

Yeah, I thought that I would get exactly 6 months of NUB time and that my NUB would end on the 17th, just like the day I started. Maybe its just that because many months have a different amount of days in them and that 180 days have passed between September 17, 2009 and March 16, 2010. If every month was 30 days, then it would have ended tomorrow, but, of course, that isn't the case. Ah, well, I should have thought of that sooner :p

P.S. Just counted the days and that is exactly the case...

Well my. Thing is on the last day of my NCB I had the entire day. And it didn't end until cache flush time the next morning.


Either way this goes having an exact time for the End of the N*B would be nice. Not having this timeframe really sucks for planning purposes :-/

Seriously I would like some kind of Closure on this. I do not see this as being a good thing if it only happens to a few ppl. This seems like a Bug.

I spent my entire last day of my NCB(note the Day it was supposed to end) soaking up a Bonus and still got said bonus AFTER 12 AM Server Time, it did not end until 4 AM the Day AFTER during Cache Flush.

So far this is only the Second Time I have heard of this happening. The last time it was a NCB and it was Heroes, now it is a NUB and Joel's. So we cannot surmise it is only a NCB or NUB thing as both were affected.


Something is wrong the question is what?

Maybe NUB ends before NCB...or rather NCB is suppose to end when the NUB does but due to some slight error has an (needed) extra day.

Nah, mine stopped early as well.

My NCB ended on the day listed right at midnight server time. So, it appeared to work correctly for me.

So you had the NCB on the Day of as well or at Midnight the night before it ended? Just looking for some clarification.

It ended at midnight at the end of the day that my NCB was supposed to end. My NCB ended Feb 17th and I was able to play the entire day of the 17th. I was still up and noticed right after midnight, that I was no longer receiving the bonus.

I had been watching the bonus all day thinking it might remember at what time I started my NCB and stop my bonus then. IE started Aug 17th at 10AM, therefore, the NCB runs until Feb 17th at 10AM. I was fairly happy to see that I got the entire day. (FYI, I do not actually remember what time I created my NCB)

Will some of you lurkers post if you recall when your N*B ended? Please specify if it was a NUB or a NCB.

I know my last NCB ended at the same time as yours and rangers.

just a jigoro's ncb run ended early also. kwai chang's did not though.

Could this be a Rounding up or down depending on the Time of day the N*B was created or is this an actual bug? If it is a bug then in which direction is it going? Should it actually end the day before transitioning into the final day or the final day transitioning into the next? Having a 24 hour window of I dunno is not good. :-/

Conjecture:
Since we store the end of the bonus period as a date+time value, and since the bonus is cached, you might eek out an extra day if you start the bonus (ncb or nub) between midnight and 4am. Or maybe you get the extra day if you start it between 4am and midnight.

Some party or user ids that exhibited strangeness would be useful. User ids for NUB, party ids for NCB.

Does the N*B end at the cache flush right after the time we started?

Maybe. It's inexact. Caching is inherently out of date, after all.

To be more precise, the bonus ends when it is calculated after the timestamp in that table.

Maybe we could get a N*B Count down Timer as a new feature or a Timestamp to go with our ending date? Maybe this way it will be easier to tell when it is gonna end without bugging you about it.

my ncb's have always ended at a cache flush. some at the cache flush on the date listed and others at the cache flush after the date listed.
