So I've been watching some movies lately, and I've run out of ideas. Within the past month I have seen:

P.S. Those of you who have not seen Tae Guk Gi (The Brotherhood of War) I demand that you watch it now. I don't know how to explain it, but this movie for me was one of those movies where you sit in the end and stare at the rolling credits in awe.

speaking of gladitor, starz has an original series called "Spartacus: Blood and Sand".

It is very bloodly and has boobs every 10 sec, but the story is very good, my wife and I both enjoyed it greatly.

First season just finished, 13 episodes, I think it makes your epic list.

Oh and, Ben Hur also was epic.

I would suggest The Brotherhood of The Wolf and The House of Flying Daggers for starters.

Kick *Butt* , is an awesome movie!

i like the kill bill series. i think that counts.

Platoon. Lots of actors before they were famous, great story and excellent acting.

Most of Jackie Chan movies have really good action sequences(A couple of my favorite of The drunken master, He did two different ones, one when he was older and one when he was younger both with different storys) Thou his acting is horrible and of coarse the voice overs in his earlier movies is bad.

I'll second the Jackie Chan movies motion. I'm not sure why, but I always loved Jackie Chan's Who Am I? movie. It had a great fight scene on a skyscraper, then he slides down the side of it after.

Hope you mean the original Longest Yard and I don't see the original Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, original Rollerball, the Omen series?, Poltergiest, the Exorcist, Cloverfield, Aliens, Rudy, SlapShot, the Incredibles(or any other pixar), Shaun of the Dead, Supertroopers, or a few others far better than a good part of that list.

If you like Jet Li movies watch War, I'd say it has the best story of any of his movies by a long shot.
Plus it also has Jason Statham in it.

Wraithlin: All of these Movies were Epic in one way or another to me and I just happened to put them in a decent format. I made this list about a year ago and completely forgot about it until last night. I need to reorganize it though as I completely forgot a Horror Section and to update the CG/Animation Section :-/
