Request for NS (in General)
How difficult would it be to have a little gif image of an envelope show up in the BA box when you have an unread chatmail? And is that something you may be able to institute? maybe for a fee/donation?

Demi supports this.
Please! To the right, so it reads
'BA' (get more) [mail]

very good idea, it cant fail :)
I'd put the Icon next to the user's name instead... But good idea.
Well since the BA auto updates i figure it should be easier to code it so that the Mail will show up in that box... rather than the other boxes that dont update.

Well, I'm done supporting this idea.
I would still love to see this change... can an admin change the name to Request for Verifex?

Oh yeah, I could do this, I would need a hour maybe or so.
Can you put it where it makes more sense than BA?
Like next to your user name.
just make the home button like bright green when you have a CM waiting

Some of us don't use Home to get CMs

Next to your user name would probably be best :)
just because you get it in a different spot doesn't meant that the check for CMs wouldn't make it green(or whatever)... you would still use your place
i like the idea and if it can link to the chatmail page that would be great! would it also be possible then to choose not to have cm's delivered in either the chat applet or the home page and just have the icon notification as i sometimes miss cm's delivered to my homepage and do not see them until much too late.
I love where this is going and I thank you Verifex and NS (for pointing me to the man who can do it). I love all the positive feedback this has brought about...

Considering the countless times I've checked the chatmail page just to see if I'm missing something, I love that's it's being added. Thanks again to both of you.
It should be very very easy to link it.
I'm confused why this is needed, I go 'Home' and either I see a CM there, or I miss it, even though it was there. If this is added, I will miss the CM when it was on the 'Home' page, then the mail icon will disappear, and it didn't do it's job still.
I can see it helping if you come back from being afk, and just start fighting away, you'll see the icon eventually, but anything other than that, I am not so sure of, someone enlighten me?
I am guessing some people like to be on CB a lot and don't like to click on home very often. This will tell them when they have a message waiting for them to look at. All in all its not very important. Just a nice little helper thing.

How do you see chatmails on your home page? The only way to see them is if you have chatmail delivery enabled on your chat applet (if you even have that running) or by going to your chatmail in community... I don't have chat running so the only way for me to tell if I have a chatmail is by going to the chatmail page...
I as well as many other use auctions and buy stuff... and when you get outbid this will make it easier to tell if you have been outbid or not... without keeping a constant eye on your auctions.
Under Settings, on the left hand side preferences there are two options for chat-mail. One is send chat-mail to PM in the chat applet. The other is send chat-mail to the Home page. I have had it on Home page for years. It shows up nice and big. There is almost no way to miss it except for maybe a short server message. The being outbid message is pretty noticeable though.
I also have it set to send on main page but I have CB open 24/7 and hitting "home" once in a while to watch my chatmails... It isn't much work for US to simply click the link and see our chatmails but it would still be somewhat useful to have this option.
Veriflex said he would do it in the other useless thread about changes. Please make sure you forward any thoughts about it to him before he finishes his magical ritual.
Oh that remainds me I have finished watching Charmed... hehe
Would it update automatically like BA does, without needing the sidebar to be refreshed?
If you need to refresh the sidebar to see this, isn't that just like pressing 'home'?
(Just wanted to add, if it updates automatically, that's pure win! Totally awesome! ;) )

I CMed Vex about it yesterday. Yes, it'll update automatically. I'm not sure what the delay will be, but I assume not terribly long. For someone like me who leaves CB up all day, it's quite helpful.
i miss cm on my homepage quite often, i think what happens is that i hit home and then decide to go somewhere else or i think that i didn't actually click it so i click it again. i am not sure how else it can happen, but it does happen fairly regularly to me.
this is why i also asked to allow us to not have a choice of the two on settings (basically leave them both unchecked) and just use the icon as our only notifier.
Adding that other setting shouldn't be hard even without the Fex change.
