lets have the ability to have 4 tats 1 per minion. Reduce mtls by 20% and then decrease their growth by 20%. U can have 4 tats but they have to fit under the mtl.
if u have 4 tats all between 6-7mil your mtl is 12mil then only 3mil levels is used from each tat on a 4 tat team, 4mil on a team with 3 tats, 6mil on team with 2 tats and the full tat level on a one tat team.

Which means it is far easier to have 4 smaller tattoos than 1 big one... makes 4 minion teams far more powerful than 1 minion or 2 minion teams.
would you really want to have to fight a 4 minion defensive team with a ToE, RoS, Hal and EF?

How about make then Slightly less effective the more Minions you have?
I offered a suggestion once before about Lesser Tats and multiple Tat Slots. Arm,Leg, Chest/Back , Head and Face. Of course I also Offered that Lesser Tats in these Spots would become less effective one multuple Tats are worn and If armor is worn then their effect drops dramatically.

The meatshield aspect is what concerns me. It's a very cheap and easy way to buy a round (or two or three) of protection. It would actually boost ranged fighters like me quite a bit.

Notice though I said Tats. Not Familiars. Although this could probably be easily fixed by attaching their HP to the Wearer's or just taking it off for Lessers period and they stop doing damage when the wearer dies.
Unless they were like: 48% effective for 2, 30% effective for 3 and 20% effective for four, I'd say no...
