About my eyes...... (in Off-topic)

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] May 26 2010 7:09 PM EDT

After several Corneal Abrasions and expensive Eye doctor visits the Dr. finally listened to me and did a more intense exam. Results: I have Recurrent Corneal Erosion Painful stuff and very expensive to get fixed as I only have a few options:
  • 1)Corneal Scraping$800.00
  • 2)PTK$1,200.00
  • 3)PRK$1,750.00
  • All suck because they are very expensive for me at least.....

BTW my doc said it is so bad Contact Therapy is only a temporary reprieve and Anterior Stromal Puncture is not even an option. Yes I did get other opinions.....they unfortunately said the same thing :-/

Let me guess, your primary employer doesn't offer a vision insurance cafeteria option?

Best of luck, as you're already covering your wife's medical expenses...

Hi friend, i have Good news for you.

About 5 years ago, my vision was getting poor, i couldnt see very good anymore.

Me and my mom were in our kitchen talking about Jesus Christ, when she came over and laid her hand on my shoulder, at that moment, The Holy Spirit desended upon me:

It was like an egg had been cracked over my brain( a good sensation ), instantly both my eyes were healed, all thanks to Jesus Christ.

Ever since then, I have had perfect vision in both my eyes, it didnt cost my anymore, But requires instead having Faith and Believing in Jesus Christ :)

to help you with the issue with your eyes here are some very good verses from the bible:

    Psalms 103: 1-3
    Mark 16: 17-18
    Matthew 10: 7-8
    MAtthew 20:29-34

Also here are some verses for our need of eternal salvation, apart from healing of the physical body:

    Romans 3: 23
    Romans 6: 23
    Romans 10: 9

And a good website to check out for more powerful miracles that have been happening:

    www.ibethel.org

check out the features tab, they allow free downloads of weekly sermons as gifts, no charge.

    God Bless you!

    Jesus Loves you :)

    how old are ya zen?

    Demigod May 26 2010 10:29 PM EDT

Detective Demi just checked the birthday poll. He was 32 when that was done, so I'm guessing 33 now. Likely too young for whatever you had up your sleeve.

What if reading the bible only makes his sight worse?!?! It burns like hell fire! Oh the humanity!

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] May 26 2010 11:16 PM EDT

In the interest of keeping your options open, I have this anecdotal item:

    L. Ron saved my vision, I was holdin' the handles of my E-Meter and my auditor was asking me to run my birth engram again and I suddenly opened my eyes and I could see! I could practically feel the thetans fleeing my body as I became CLEAR!

    AdminShade May 27 2010 1:58 AM EDT

Zen: mine were more expensive and I would do it again any time!

    @Nehemiah : what the heck, man ?

@Zenai : Ouch. Guess you wish now you would have stuck with just glasses ? I feel for you, man. Hope you'll be able to scrounge the cash eventually. Best of luck.

you guys and your bible bashing and political wannabe ranting are amazingly douchey. +3 Massengil

Bad: injecting evangelism into a thread about medical issues

    Worse: responding

    kevlar: just doing his thing

Are we really going to have to sanitize this thread?

    kevlar May 27 2010 11:32 AM EDT

Nov, if doing my thing means calling out idiots continuing to silently rant their bs on religion and politics into threads... ya I'm doing my thing.

As for Neh's post, it makes no sense. But why do the same idiots post their crap about it?

Nov, I'm really glad you have this game. I'd be worried otherwise.

    Demigod May 27 2010 12:13 PM EDT

you guys and your bible bashing and political wannabe ranting are amazingly douchey.

Politics haven't entered this thread yet. You'll have to wait for a few more posts.

    Lochnivar May 27 2010 12:37 PM EDT

And now back to the original topic:

Zen, from reading the link you put up am I correct in understanding that this is less a vision issue and more a 'my eyes hurt' issue?

I hope you're able to get it worked out... eyes.... ~shudder~
Makes me twitch just thinking about it.

My wife has been looking into the PRK option for her own ocular degeneration. It sounds like by the end of the year the tech will allow for future adjustments on the PRK as well. That is to say, that after inserting internal lenses, that adjustments can be made easier and less expensively. Out of all of your options, the PRK option seems to be where the med/tech is currently going and putting all of its research/development money. If you're in the States, just do it before the gov't Healthcare kicks in.

As for Nehemiah's post, why bash him for giving an option that worked for him? I've seen people "healed" myself, as in I was actually present when it happened. He's just trying to help.

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] May 27 2010 3:14 PM EDT

Loch: yep pretty much. But to put it into perspective from my Docs words. Having Multiple Abrasions in your Cornea is like having chunks of tooth missing and exposing the nerve....then scraping it with jalapeno juice laden potato chips. There is more nerves in one eye than in your hand and foot combined.....perspective sucks......lol

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 25 2010 4:55 PM EDT

Well it struck me very hard today. It was like a beating to me unlike any other. I can take it when I can dish it back out, but this time there was absolutely nothing I could do. It was like I was just standing there waiting to get hit like a punching bag. The Degeneration of my left eye has gotten to the point that I cannot even hit center mass of my Targets at the Shooting Range. Before it was just a little and I was ok with it just small adjustments to my shooting stance. Now just to hit around center mass I have to point my pistol to the Top right of the Target just to hit the bottom left.

    Man this really really sucks...............

    AdminNightStrike June 25 2010 6:36 PM EDT

Those costs that you posted, while large, are not insurmountable. If you just cut every single cost you can, you can raise that faster than you think.

    Demigod June 25 2010 7:23 PM EDT

Time for a third job? Sleep is overrated.

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 25 2010 8:26 PM EDT

Oh I know NS it's just that those bills of mine while getting smaller are still quite large. The School is going through major development and part of my job as Maintenance is overseeing the demo and cleanup. While my Security Job is expanding I'm having line up potentials and setting up meetings to train more people and help reset our Standing Operating Procedures to accommodate said expansion. I'm starting to wear thin as both of my jobs are kicking me into overtime and are requiring more from me everyday. Of course having this affect that is just more icing on the cake >.<
