A Question for all of you. (in General)

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] July 8 2010 10:35 AM EDT

I've got multiple financial problems at home. CB is starting to wear at the fabric of my family life(my fault I know). Finally I'm just getting tired of the daily grind, I'm at the point of burnout to be honest. So my Question for all of you is simple.

Is it time for a Break and have someone run my char like SHD or time for me to chalk it up Sell some Stuff, Have a few Giveaway Contests and hit the exit?

Considering the dedication you've put into this, you should absolutely take a break before making the permanent change of selling out.

And if you feel like you need a longer break, just sell your character but keep the gear (or loan it). After a few months, run another NCB. You put a lot of effort into this one, but the fun is in watching your character advance anyway.

After 6 years here I'm nowhere near as involved in things as I used to be, but it's a nice place to come and hang out. I think I hit burnout a couple of years ago and this character has always been in my mind as the last character I'll run. To be honest I wasn't sure this time last year if I wanted to hang around. I'm still here.

You can still run the char and all it's stuff, just do it on cruise control for a while. Just don't feel you need to log in every day, miss some BA, take it easy.

If CB is getting in the way of RL it's definitely time to scale back your involvement though. In the end the phrase 'it's only a game' comes to mind. But it doesn't have to be 'goodbye'.

Whatever you end up doing, we'll be here when your crazy butt gets back.
I hope things get better for you man!

Stick around, maybe just take a break.

Womp July 8 2010 11:12 AM EDT

You'd better take a break and come back, bro.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] July 8 2010 11:13 AM EDT

You'll come back, they always come back. ;)

But seriously, if something starts to not be fun any more, it's time for a break.

RealAxis July 8 2010 11:15 AM EDT

I too suggest taking a break bro.

A break is something which everyone of us needs from time to time. Go and enjoy yours, and be back in time for my 10,000,000 level SF :)

I thought I quit 5 years ago but it just turned into a long break. I wish I kept some of my stuff now that I'm playing again, but it's fun building things up again.

I thought I quit 5 years ago but it just turned into a long break.

They're right. Remember, I quit CB1 back in January, '05. I somehow got pulled back in March of '09. Quitting isn't really an option. Taking half a decade off is...

take a break, get someone you can trust to keep going where you left off and when things turn around you can always come back and play on.

At the end of the day it is about priorities.
Its is fair to say the family/home/real life takes precedence.
From what I can tell you are a hardcore player therefore a break, or even just significantly lessen your, would be the goer as opposed to a full sell out.
