Officially the most annoying game of all time. Way to go, Holland, with your 50,000 yellow cards...

some of which we did not really deserve... annoying referee breaking the entire game.

I think the ref done well. Spain were the better team and deserved it.

Where was Spain the better team? Neither of them deserved to win. And the worst part was played by the ref.

No corner before the goal?? No red card for the kung-fu kick and later in the game no yellow card for Spain regardless what they did?

Oh well, way to go FIFA, that's been one of the worst championships ever. I pray for 'chip in ball', 'goal camera' and 'video proof' else things will just get worse.

As much as I would have liked Holland to win, I have to agree with those who feel that Spain were the better team. They effectively were - more organised, better passing, etc.

As for the ref, I don't think he had a terrible game. The flurry of yellow cards was inevitable - there were too many nasty tackles going around. Admittedly, no idea how kung-fu panda stayed on after taking down Xabi Alonso. What was annoying was the continuous complaints to get opponents booked - as far as I know, these should be automatically punishable with a yellow themselves but no ref on earth seems to be bothering.

Holland might complain about corner that was not awarded but Spain still had to restart play, take the ball forward across all the pitch and pass to Iniesta, who had been waiting unmarked in the box for around 30 seconds.
