The spambot attack today reminded me of just how different things are here. When I arrived six years ago I'd never seen the like of CB's forums in ten years on the net. Not IRC, Usenet, or IM had the random hilarity that I found here.
What are we missing? What's changed?
I can't quite put my finger on it, but I know we are missing something.

We're missing active posters. It seems like there are only 20 of us who post frequently. We need more random threads. Someone throw another cat in a tub!
We're missing a player base. But I feel that people only join to make profit and leave, potentially returning to go at it again. And now since it takes much more to get even less out of the game people are not returning.
Not one aspect, but many.
You know.. I think theme's would go along way to bringing in new players and maybe drawing back a few that have left.

Time is catching up to the game, and the game is unique enough to lack a multithousand playerbase.
We need something new to talk about. Everything has already been said. And we've needed this for a couple me years now.
I could start a debate thread on a couple subjects that are rather important to me but I'm not sure I am ready for that yet.

There used to be a lot of us who didnt chat so socialised in the forums. I walked away from them during that period when most of us were arguing with a certain person. That drained the fun out of them. They never recovered.
Clan cms took their place a little. 100+ clan cms in one day is more than enough socialising!
It is very good to have an active and social clan ^_^
To be fair Johnny, we were only really argueing as we had nothing else to say on the matters bought up. They had already been discussed to death, nothing had changed, and every time they were bought up it was just the same old thing over and over (and over! lol!) again, which started to wear everyone down.
But here's to upcoming things on the horizon, giving us new stuff to sink our teeth into and digest.
I miss the tousle for the top spot.
The debates that Spid versus Red Dwarf, or Ranger versus Hello Kitty bought up.
The strat changes, the tweaks, all discussed on the forums, all around becoming or retaining the number one spot.
Who's the top spot atm? Who's challenging? What tweaks are being made to each team because of this? What impact is it having on the game?

The lack of changemonths has significantly reduced the fun factor in the game.

I still think that the inability to keep up with the times is the biggest detriment to new blood, but new items and occassional changes would certainly keep us on our toes.
