I know it doesn't show the new rituals on the clan page yet. That will come soon.
Fixed flushing the cache for when rituals are edited on the backend.

Would it be too much to ask to also add what exactly the new rituals are (and their costs and effects) in the changelogs themselves ?

Nevermind, found this one hidden in the recesses of the wiki...
http://www.carnageblender.com/clans/ritual-descriptions.tcl
How come it's not a link somewhere more visible ?
Also, could we add clan point gains on the post-battle screen (we even have healing costs listed), especially now that there are rituals changing clan point gains ?

Ok, I either need to get more sleep ASAP, or did it just appear all of a sudden as a link in the clan page ?
P.S. The "view how many CP you earned in the fight" is still a good idea.
/me shuts up now :P

So, is this the extent of the rituals? Or are there even more juicy changes being worked on?
Either way, really great job. These new ones really encourage clan coordination.
Well, more will come based on how much CB actually gets into them. For a while there, there was only ever between zero and two active at any given time across the whole site. The more people use them, the more effort I'll place there.
I wanted it to get very big.
Also, the costing not working totally right kind of makes things annoying.
The problem i have with it is that each ritual only lasts for 6h periods.
Is there perhaps a way where you can get adjusted times and prices on rituals?
give some flexibility for ritual length?
I've suggested it in chat to mixed reviews, but I'll pitch it here as well:
Schedules for having bonuses run would make it easier for clans to coordinate without having to have the leader active at any given moment to activate rituals. By schedules I refer to some sort of calendar where the leader would be able to set date/time for a ritual to become active.

A weaker version of Slayer's suggestion: allow clan leaders to designate one member of the clan to be able to activate rituals. A sort of second-in-command system in case the CL is away when you really need to get that ritual up.

Or just ramp up shortest ritual to 24h, maybe tweak costs a bit (if/when they start working).
i have also thought that having some way to stack or extend the ritual would be nice.

Maybe just a checkbox when you're casting it that says "restart upon expiration".
So basically it will run the ritual forever until you go back and hit some button that says "stop automatic restarts".
Well, I don't want to extend their duration, as then the cost would have to go up, and smaller clans couldn't use them.
Stacking or auto-renewing might be a good idea, though. I'll think on that.
let me be clear on what i meant by extending. my 24 hour leviathan scales will end around 7 o'clock tomorrow morning. i could go in right now and buy it like normal and it would extend it another 24 hours. i could actually do that 4 times and pay 4 amounts(any amount actually as long as i could afford the cost now) and have it last until four days from tomorrow at 7 a.m.
I will warn everyone now that if I do do something like this, it's ENTIRELY up to you to make sure you don't buy stuff that expires when clans are shut off 4am on Sunday. I might need two people to handle THOSE complaints.
i volunteer for both slots...send em my way!
Err ... question on Dude's plan regarding the revolving nature of clan points. If I buy "4 days worth" of 1000cp rituals, I lose 4k CP today. So for 24 hours I'm "behind". Then for the next 3 days, because those gained/lost CPs drop off as the world turns, I have my ritual for "free". Yes?
you would trade no bonus for today and normal bonus for the next 3 with 4 days of a discounted bonus. i think it would likely even out.
it definitely wouldn't be free as for one day, if you could even afford 4 days worth at once, you would be sacrificing your bonuses.
if that isn't correct though, then just allow us to extend once during the current period just so that we don't have to be here at the exact time when it expires. either way i am cool with it.
I think this would likely be setup so there is a maximum time. Likely of 24 hours so that you can't have a ritual without the cost. But it may be that that could become possible.
i guess it really depends on how you look at the cost. the clan point cost really translates into a reduced clan bonus. while the clan points rotate out, the cost has really already been paid through the lost clan bonus.
also all of the 1k rituals are six hour ones, so you really couldn't buy four days worth at once unless you have 16k clan points to spend.
you could buy 4 days worth of the 24hr 100 cp ritual though. ; )
Bast, you raise a good point. What you described is what would occur.
Ok, so *IF* we did this, we would definitely have to have a hard limit of no more than 24 hours of rituals. That way, there will never be a ritual active while the negative cost is not also actively being applied to your bonus.
Actually, this makes me wonder about "now", as well. If I and my entire clan use our "decent" clan bonus by each of us going in and using all our BA in the same single hour -- put on a nice expensive defense and go our merry way?
CP updates at the hour, adding any new points and deducting any 25 hours old. But rituals take effect immediately? So we can use a ritual while spending all our BA, but our current bonus/ranking doesn't change 'til the top of the hour? Take a 14% bonus, everyone benefits from the bonus and the ritual in effect, knowing we won't lose those (say) 1500 CP until X:00 at which point our bonus drops to 4%? And we don't care because none of us has to fight again for another 6 hours at least?
Yes, that's a good point, too. I guess we need to either queue rituals to activate at the next score flush, or trigger a score flush when a ritual activates.

If you create a schedule system for rituals it could solve a couple of the problems we're bringing up.
First, you can make it so a ritual cannot be setup to start any earlier than next score flush.
Second, if you have a schedule system that is viewable by all clan members, they can plan when to make use of of the ritual.
Third, if you set up for multiple scheduled events in a row it will be a way of making sure a ritual stays active.
Fourth, if it's just scheduled to go but not actually going, you won't have any "free" ritual time.

Or you could solve it differently.
The clan rituals would be permanent toggles (on or off), and they would modify effective clan points by a certain percentage (-10%, -30%, -50%, etc) while toggled on.
The only timers would be between toggles to prevent exploits... or even better, you ask for a toggle, it takes some time to go into effect.

That or a constant slow hourly raw CP drain.

Here's my review of the recent clan changes, based on what I've seen around the community.
Stat boosting rituals suck and are not worth the CP price.
CP altering rituals, especially Varda's Insight (8/4) and Ulmo's Solitude of the Seas (lose 2 less CP when attacked), are really awesome and frequently make the difference that nets a clan's members that extra 1-2% bonus.
I'd just like to reiterate how awesome the rituals are. Thanks again, NS!
