Melkor: Freedom of worship? (in Contests)

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 21 2010 12:09 PM EDT

What about those of us who don't want some squishy wishy god?

Melkor for Deity!*

500k CB to the best suggestion for a ritual

*paid for by the friends of Melkor,
and the campaign to elect Melkor in 2010

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 21 2010 12:15 PM EDT

i was thinking the flying spaghetti monster ritual, it would imbue the godless with one of the other rituals at random but for half the cost! ; )

AdminShade August 21 2010 12:16 PM EDT

A random ritual at half cost wouldn't be half that bad.
Whatever the ritual it would give, I'd worship Melkor any day :)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] August 21 2010 12:19 PM EDT

(All numbers would need balancing!)

Darkness And Might: Reduces opponents Base CTH by 10%, and Increases your own Damage done by 10%.

his name in Ainulindalë (the creation myth of Middle-earth and first section of The Silmarillion) is Melkor, which means 'He Who Arises In Might' in Quenya, another of Tolkien's languages.

Driven out by Tulkas, Melkor brooded in the darkness at the outer reaches of Arda until an opportune moment arrived when Tulkas was distracted. Melkor re-entered Arda and attacked and destroyed the Two Lamps, which at the time were the only sources of light. Arda was plunged into darkness, and the island of Almaren, the first home of the Valar on Earth, was destroyed in the violence of the lamps' fall.

When the Valar became aware of this they sent Tulkas to arrest him, but Melkor had already fled. With the aid of Ungoliant, a dark spirit in the form of a monstrous spider, he destroyed the Two Trees of Valinor, slew the King of the Noldor, Finwë, and stole the three Silmarils, jewels made by Finwëメs son Fëanor, which were filled with the light of the Trees. Fëanor thereupon named him Morgoth, "Black Foe of the World", and the Eldar knew him by this name alone afterwards.

Interesting concept but too cheap imho. The price might make it a bit OPed. Maybe the same price but all of the Rituals at Random. There should be a price to pay. Anyway just my thoughts on it.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] August 21 2010 12:28 PM EDT

Shades idea could be called;

"Vulnerability of the Noldor"

AdminShade August 21 2010 12:36 PM EDT

wasn't mine but dude's idea :)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] August 21 2010 12:40 PM EDT

Dude's idea. ;)

Power of Melkor: All Rituals are Stripped from your Opponent and Applied to you for the duration of the fight.

i like that better than my random idea actually! ; )

QBJohnnywas August 21 2010 2:12 PM EDT

Give me Crom for my god, with a nice God given bloodlust, applied to ALL physical damage both in melee and ranged for the duration of the ritual.

AdminNightStrike August 21 2010 6:35 PM EDT

Who is Melkor?

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [C and S Forgery Lmtd.] August 21 2010 6:37 PM EDT

Lord of the Rings

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 21 2010 6:47 PM EDT

All other clans god effects are null and void vs your clan while it is in effect. In addition 50%(<---can be changed) of their effect is done for you while in battle.

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 21 2010 6:54 PM EDT

ha ha..I guess Zenai had this idea before miss....I should read better...

^Fail post.

+5% Forge Efficiency on weapons, -5% Forge Efficiency on armor.

+5% Forge Efficiency on armor, -5% Forge Efficiency on weapons.

Or switch it to armor = '+', weapons = 'x'

I like small's idea!!!!

Small for president in 2012!

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] August 21 2010 10:59 PM EDT

pfft forging is so last year >_>

Zenai August 21 2010 11:08 PM EDT

Actually after looking at my Idea:

Power of Melkor: All Rituals are Stripped from your Opponent and Applied to you for the duration the fight.

It is just a bit OPed, as in not all of Melkor's plans worked all the time. So I propose a revision, it has a 50/50 chance of working as intended.

Unappreciated Misnomer August 21 2010 11:09 PM EDT

Ritual of Melkor

Summons Ungoliant for the durations of the fight. Ungoliant captures all the light. damage has a chance to be directed onto friendly minions.

or - to CTH by 5%

for a game based on Lord of the Rings why is the spell check so difficult. For once we should speak our language of the internet.

horseguy001 August 22 2010 12:10 AM EDT

Melkor's Will:

Casts EC on enemy team equal to your mpr.

"All shall bend to my power!"

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] August 22 2010 1:11 AM EDT

Shadow from the North
250,000 levels added to trained Evasion.

IPoop August 22 2010 4:08 AM EDT

Allows a second tattoo for a short time at a very high cost

Wraithlin August 22 2010 4:49 AM EDT

I propose adding two new rituals.

Not sure what the names should be but the effects:

Block all DM cast in battle.

Block all AMF cast in battle.

These both include your own, so you would need to build a guild that all agrees to just use one or the other, and then block the opposite.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 23 2010 3:05 PM EDT

Demigod August 23 2010 3:34 PM EDT

All DM or AMF? That's too powerful, even if it does go both ways.

Shadow Ruler August 23 2010 3:59 PM EDT

what about those who are clanless?

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] August 23 2010 4:50 PM EDT

You shall have the privilege to die on the altar of Melkor first.
