I am losing interest in this game. (in General)

I don't really feel that need to log in and burn BA anymore--not in the past week or so, I think. It just feels so... mechanical and dull. Nothing really changes, either in the ranks or gameplay-wise. I hate to be a negative Nancy, but I just don't really feel that same excitement I used to.

It is what it is Bro. Take a Break for a bit and come back is the best thing I can tell you.

A Vacation Mode for something like this, IMHO, would be awesome after all everyone NEEDS a break and shouldn't be beaten for it.

I agree with the vacation sentiment.

I will admit a long break of 2 years (though not by choice I guess) has resparked my interest. Starting over with absolutely 0 NW and no characters has been fun :)

CB has its share of problems for sure, but I still love the game!

I think he's looking for these nov. I think honestly so has everyone to one degree or another.

Sometimes you just need a break. This game has never been the "constantly exciting" type.

Personally, when I thought up a single minion strat I wanted to run, that re-sparked me. It's nothing about the game, and it certainly isn't because I have any illusion of being able to compete. I just want a certain team. :P

if you must go. its a game after all. i admit to cb being more than a casual game or or not even an exciting one, but at times it hasnt been. to me cb is so much more than any game, why? its the last void in the entire world where you need an imagination.

Strategy changes.

The Clan rituals were awesome. Brilliant addition. But they're not personal, and don't really effect me. When in a Clan, the Clan leader activates the best for the moment, and I carry on the same as always.

What's needed are changes to the game that effect everyone. New Items, stuff buffed, stuff nerfed, random changes to freshen things up and keep us on our toes.

What we need is a Changemonth. And actual old school Changemonth.

The whole game feels like a chore. No new items. No new changes. Nothing new or exciting. Sometimes I really dont even bother logging on anymore

I've starte in 2005 than i Left and returned only in december 2008 and i am here till now, with a lot of things to try yet.

Go take a fresh air and come later you will feel good beeing free and maybe have new ideias for strats

thats the problem right there... there is only a finite number of combinations you can throw together with a finite number of items/skills not to mention there hasnt been a new item/skill in like 4ever

return of jon
return of changemonths
return of regular new items/ supporter items
return of quarter blender

i am not looking for a promise of frequency on these items, more like will they ever happen again at all?

Meh, it's routine already. Excitement no longer necessary.
It's more like endurance running laps on the stadium, you're more curious about how long you can last before you give up rather than care about how fast you run or what the scenery you run past might be.

I actually don't see a need for QB -- the small player base probably doesn't need it.

But hurray for new items. Ideally, we can get back to having something new every six months.

I'd rather deal with that than see eligible players be passed by and not even have a chance to be recognized.

Admiralkiller has summed it up very well IMHO. We need some real changes that somehow disrupt the current game dynamics and force people to modify strategies.

In the past we used to accuse Jon of doing such changes indiscriminately - however we probably now miss those changemonths and the ensuing arguments & forced character changes.

And this is not meant to put down the changes that have been done since Jon left the scene. I, and I am sure many others, appreciate all the effort that has been and is being put in to keep CB alive. The rituals were a great addition, for instance.

BRING BACK THE QB!


Say what you want about where the game was, there are quite a few players floating around right now who at least deserve to be nominated for QB.

I think too many players began to really think of QB as "who they like most" and for a lot of the vets, that means the people they played with consistently for years. But there are players now who may not have been playing as long but have definitely put forth a ton of effort into the community lately.

as for the changes, this has always been obvious. We've all known that change is what keeps people's interest.

Comfort and consistency are rarely reasons people play games. And remember that nerfs work just as well as buffs to keep people playing the game. I mean, come on. People want emotion. It's why so many people play games that tick them off as much as make them smile. Or why people date other's who, well, they don't always get along with.

I mean, a small part of me would be rather happy in a sick kind of way if I logged in tomorrow and ranged damage was tripled. Yeah, I'd be pissed...

But I'd also probably make my first game content related thread in what seems like forever.
