just thought of an idea for a new supporter item. melee weapon whose effect is on the first hit of each round it reduces stored damage of SoC by 1/2.
what do you think? i like it because at the moment not even having insane amounts of DX and evasion is enough to stop being hit by the high amounts of damage the SoC can cause due to the base chance to hit.
topic meant to be 'New Supporter Item Idea'
There,s a similar suggestion here a Hammerang if I remember right.

how about a ranged weapon that reduces DD effectiveness.
This seems like an extremely targeted weapon, in that it targets 1 particular item only. And it also wouldn't work right in that it would be used on enchanters to get the full effect rather than on actual tanks. You could change it to a % of the damage done reduces SoC charge by that much. Obviously though this really doesn't seem like an item that would get used at all.
SoC works fine on enchanters Nat, it only seems fair...
Just a thought.....it'll probably get shiot down. But eh whatever.
Xen Dynasty Fan
Shield Slot (5% Flat Bonus to UC)
Creates Mists of Xen (Fog of War)
Reduces Ranged Effectiveness(BCTH) by 1% per Plus on a Steep Upgrade scale.(BoM?)
Exception: Seeking Weapons like MSKer, ExBow and AxBow they are magical in nature and do not rely on line of sight targeting.(backstory)
Added Perk: Reduces DD Damage on the same Scale as above 1st Round Only.

And the counterpart to that, Enchanterbane crossbow too.
Then just change the Mageseeker to do those things and seeks the highest trained DD/Enchantment.

Naw, it wouldn't be appropriately-powered when compared to the other crossbows :P
Let mageseeker be the one dealing noticeable damage, while those two new ones would merely be the enemy-stats-annihilating ones while dealing pretty weak damage.
Oh, oh, and I have two better names...
"Templar's Crossbow" for the DD-quashing one and
"Witchhunter's Crossbow" for the ED/EO-smooshing one.

Although, better just keep the Templar one in play, since the other one could prove to be... ahem... problematic to implement (since ED/EO are cast before combat).
Not impossible, mind you, just problematic.
