Hey guys, I made this thread for us to get together and figure things out, like team name, who wants to be team captain what pieces we are going to to be etc etc.

Post here so I know were all on the same page.

Ok my first question is who here actually plays chess and is decent at it? I play but I wouldnt consider myself good, I dont know moves I'm used to just countering the computer and visually thinking it out, this is slightly different. So yeah we need someone to make the decisions. Adsill you wanna be team captain? :P

Anyway I'll take King if no one else wants to take it.

Btw I saw we talk strategy through either PM's or CM's, maybe even make a chat if we are all on at the same time.

I am horrible at chess >.<

I work a good bit but I assume I get some time to make decisions and some flexibility there so I'd be willing if it accommodates. Definitely taking the pawn :P

Yeah nat is just waiting on getting team captains together so she can get everything started, but the tourney is unlimited BA so start your chars as soon as you can. I'm already getting our king of pie set up ;P

That leaves EoD and Dr. Know.

EoD should take Queen in my opinion, if thats alright with him, which leaves DK with his choice of Knight, Rook Bishop or Pawn.

I'm a noob so a backup pawn would be nice!

If possible please add T1 to the front of your names, so you are easily recognizable. If you already made a char and didnt dont worry about it I'll keep track of everyones names.


Does anyone else want to make the moves for everyone? If not I will.

Change of plans EoD said he wont have the time to play which makes Dr Know our queen. Sorry DK, I'm going to post the team list in the tournament thread now.

Think i should go archer like my counterparts in Team 2 or stick with my current mage strat?

I still need to know who is in charge of match 1 and who is in charge of match 3 for your team.

I will take charge on match 3 since match one hasnt started yet, if any other takers want to have a go we will switch for match 1.

Given that Xeno's feeling his limit, should we withdraw from one match? I don't think it's really fair to ask him to pretty much play two games. Thoughts, team one?

I say someone man up and take on the other match. No time, like the present, to learn how to play.

Hey team, I'm trying to be fair and make some very safe moves to give everyone some time to catch up. All I ask is please pay attention to the tourney thread, If you aren't a chess player I can help you out to understand whats going on, but I would like our full team paying attention if possible so they know what lies ahead.

Check to see who you can beat on each team, check to see if your piece/s are in danger, and if so see what you can do to fix it.

Please CM/PM if you need help, I pretty much haven't left since the tourney started.

And yes I will be honest with all of you, this has been very taxing on me paying attention to both teams and playing both games, but I'm trying very hard for all of us. :)

Don't go stressin' yourselves out though, just play and have fun. :D Win some lose some you know. All I'm asking for is that we're all on the same page when it comes to everything that is going on.

Yeah Nayab that would be good if you would like to do that, it would certainly make things easier for me.
