auto complete... (in General)

QBOddBird December 28 2010 12:13 AM EST

...is going to kill me on these brothels eventually. Sometimes I seriously need more than two tries.

Dear phone: I typed what I meant and I meant what I typed. Don't correct me!

AdminTal Destra December 28 2010 12:13 AM EST

on these brothels

QBOddBird December 28 2010 12:14 AM EST

AdminTal Destra December 28 2010 12:15 AM EST

Just download the 'Jerry Maguire: You Complete Me' app and you'll be golden.

Just gotta show Apple the money!

I hate the autocomplete. Although my phone does change Johnnywas to Highness....

You mean predictive text?

How could you live without it..?

AdminShade December 28 2010 7:16 AM EST

Thou should not need,
the power of auto complete.

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] December 28 2010 7:37 AM EST

Lovely when you need it, irritating as hell when you don't.

Completely customizable per typing application is what it should be.

QBJohnnywas December 28 2010 7:53 AM EST

G, the autocomplete on an Android phone is worse than predictive text, which I also hate. The strangest words get changed into something completely random. Its especially bad on names. At the moment any five letter name gets turned into Ernie on my phone!

QBOddBird December 28 2010 10:15 AM EST

Exactly, it is great when you want it to work and horrendous when you don't.

Just like having a girlfriend eh?

lol Johnny, I think predictive text is great although I have had a bad experience with it in the past. Wasn't my fault though...

Wifey out in Edinburgh (20 miles from home) and a little tipsy. Struggling to get the bus home and we'd been swapping texts for a while when I received a simple text "no bus". 2am so I jumped into the car to collect her only to arrive and find out she was almost home, and on the bus.
Predictive txt had changed her intended "on" to "no". Quite a fundamental difference with the message.
