Incorrect BA refresh amounts... still (in General)

This has been happening to me more and more lately, I'm at 8/20 and whenever I burn all my BA and log back in later I log in with un-even amounts of BA. I've already watched it happen during a few refreshes so far where I only get like 2-5 ba instead of the 8 I should be getting. The latest refresh that just happened before I posted this I got 1 BA.

I tried refreshing the page and clearing my cache to see if it was just a visual error but its not, its refreshing at rates that obviously aren't what they are supposed to be.

This has happened to me at least 5 times in the last 24 hours while I was actually paying attention to it, who knows how many times it happened while I was sleeping. Its been happening for a while now and its killing me as an NCB since I cant actually afford the ridiculous price to buy the BA to make up for it, and I shouldn't have to because it shouldn't be happening in the first place.

1. My understanding is that you still end up with the same amount of 24 hours, so these errors even out.

2. We've always had this problem, but it seems that disabling the ability for the left pane to refresh exacerbated it.

3. Eventually the left pane will work again, so it's not permanent. Are there any updates from admins about this?

I'd imagine the lag was coming from the fight feed, not the BA refreshing automatically, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

Have you watched it over a longer period of time instead of looking at single refreshes?

i.e.
over 1 hour, have you received 24 BA?
over 2 hours, have you received 48 BA?

yeah shade I have, I typically let my ba stock up for about 2-3 hours before I spend it, and even then the amounts are uneven. Maybe it does end up equaling itself out over 24 hours and I just don't notice because I'm not tallying the entire thing up, but I know over short spans like a couple hours it seems to be very off.

for example when I posted this and said I only got 1 ba from a refresh, it was after an hour and 20 minutes, where I should have had 32 ba instead of 25. Since then its been fine, except for the random 9 ba I just got at the last refresh O.o? (which I've never seen happen before) So maybe you're right and it does equal itself out over time.

The only way I'd be able to know for sure is to completely tally it up during a full 24 hours to make sure I'm getting exactly what I should be getting.

from my experience you only get lesser amounts, never greater than your refresh so we are losing ba.

it only happens if you let ba accrue. if you fight every six as it comes up, then you won't be losing ba.

if i understand correctly that is why the sidebar automatically refreshing our ba amounts corrected this issue. it worked like you were fighting each six as they refreshed.

i could be wrong on any of these counts but this is my impression of what is going on.

^ Very true but when I was at 24 ba stocked up and the last refresh hit I magically had 33.. which made even less sense then me losing BA like I've noticed before

If you've had the wrong amount of ba over the past 24 hours you will potentially get it at cache flush in 1 lump.

I would like this to be controllable, so I can stop regenerating BA today and just get it all at cache flush. thx :)

That's not true. All that the sidebar does is to retrieve the amount of BA the user has and display it to them. There is no BA accrue logic on the client-side.

This is natural. It has to do with how CB loads your available BA. The auto-updater thing on the sidebar kept it more current by keeping everything in memory.

i think that is where people got that impression and even upon rereading it i am unsure what was meant. ; )
