Take Matters Into Your Own Hands (in General)

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 24 2011 12:08 PM EDT

I have often seen people complain about how there is a lack of good targets in the lower regions of the game. And indeed if you decide to run a character that doesn't have good fighting up ability and you don't make use of rentals and gear you have built up it can be quite difficult.

What I want to tell everyone is take matters into your own hands. If you think that the score vs PR is way too bad currently then change it yourself. Here is a simple way you can do this. Draws. I have noticed that draws are pure score creators. You won't lose score on a draw and it will only add score to the smaller scored team. This means that if you make a char completely designed to draw with as many characters as possible you will be able to add score across a large swath of the lower region.

Should this be allowed? I believe that yes it should. You might remember that we have had instances where players drain out score from the upper regions of the game. People were in uproar about this but in the end it was allowed and I think that it is just part of the game. This is a pvp game after all.

The only problem with score manipulation is when you take the rewards hit to boost a target then others eat up that score.

it is also useful to have a char which can double tap high

My punching bag is useful for double tapping certain 2m score/3m mpr teams. I've been doing that for a few people running ncbs right now that have been smart enough to attack it.

But that costs me BA and I needs my BA right now. :(

Maybe after my ncb is up I'll take some time to do some score spreading.

Thats how I got through the slog of < 1 mil mpr. I mean I missed 2 weeks of BA and almost hit 5 mil mpr :D

When ever if find myself stuck with 160ba during money time i dbl tap a few targets with large scores...it however never keeps my score up long

How long would that manufactured score last? Maybe if 50% or more of our cb population was actively creating score it would make a difference, but anyone fighting "up" would eliminate all that score in a single set of ba.

How it works is you find a decent pr target that you can beat 100%, unequip some items and draw them a few times to increase their score and maintain 100% bonus. You don't lower your own score this way.

1 person working for about 2 weeks with a char just 2 mil mpr could easily infuse the lower game with 300% its current score if not more.

Not really just a clever few.

As long as you find the right people it works greatly. I used this principle with FGoD and Coheed. The only difference was that Dinh was a friend and offered to be a Score Battery to help balance the drain I was getting from Incompetent Duo. I'm sure others would do this as well but would want to be compensated.

Without question "More", it was no coincidence that FGoD's, and as a result Incompetent Duo's, Score hiked up drastically even while hunkered down in the Dead Zone. This was just one imagine 3 or 4 personal Score Batteries in each MPR Range during an NCB. This combined with a few other tricks like Power Leveling Tats for others in return was to be my plan for my next run.

Welcome to the world of the wheeling dealer, you want success in an NCB learn how to make a deal with the right players at the right time.

Has anyone looked at tourney Prizes lately? There is like 20 plus characters sitting there capable of raising scores, all within the different ranges of the game.

A Tourney Admin could go on there and raise scores every couple days, heck I'd even be willing to do it.

To be honest, in my opinion with our current player base we don't need more than 3-4 100% targets per zone, I feel that is plenty. Three to four is more than most of us have had during our own runs.

No kidding. I remember a grueling 2 week stretch of a 2 target list, that were not in a clan XD

Honestly, why not just start people with enough untrained XP to bypass the cesspool of the lowest ranks? Make it a percentage of the top person. It's pretty clear that if it's not going to be fixed; we might as well use a dynamic band-aid.
