Potential Tourney (in Contests)

This is a feeler thread only. I can potentially run a tourney based on the board game Attack, including the expansion, which I own. This game is a WW2 based board game. It would run for up to a few weeks depending on how it goes throughout. Mainly I just want to know how many people think they would be interested in participating in such a tourney. The goal of this tourney in terms of game play and feel would be to have it be something like the old Hellenic wars tourney if you all remember what that was like. But I don't want to do it unless I can get a fair number of teams with enough people on each team. This would be up to 6 teams and no limit on the size as long as they are equalized.

Please give me your feedback. ^_^

I know im relatively new, but if this is anything like a "risk" type game i would definitely be down.

It would be a good bit more involved than just risk. Its a little similar to axis and allies, if you have ever played that. But a lot more freestyle, with of course my modifications to make it work in a CB tourney format.

And to those of you who really want to play evangelize, err, recruit more people into playing in the tourney. ^_^

Couple of years ago told Slayer to run a tourney based on the board game Stop Thief! Make it so.

I'm always interested in these type of tournaments! Hopefully we can get a decent turnout with people actually sticking around; I know we've had issues in the past few team tournaments with that (the US vs. Russia one and the chess one come to mind).

Eh I probably wouldn't play. To many times where you start a team tourney and then one of your team mates have RL issues come up or just loose interest into it or w/e and then quit. Then you just lose simply because of the lack of players on your team.

Looks like we have 9 players right now? Gun are you in the tourney or nay. I'd really like it if we have at least 12 players and 18+ would be ideal.

If 18 sign up for the tourney and see it through, I'll up the ante and kick in additional winnings from my own stash.

I'd like to join but with it being a team tourney I'm pretty sure I won't have the time to see it through. Wouldn't want to bring my team down.

since it is kind of a long-term commitment, perhaps giving potential players some kind of idea of the daily time commitment might help recruitment efforts.

I'll sign up, but put me on a team that doesn't mind if I'm a little flakey.

Possible start time, it's very important for me. After the 6th and I am in.

That's fine. I still have to hammer out the details for this game. It's pretty complicated. We do have enough players now so I will be running it. Expect the Post on the rules and such soon as well as a start date. It will run as long as necessary to complete.

After this, do an Axis and Allies one, now that's complicated.... but helluva good time. (How is helluva in the dictionary?)

This is going to be quite similar to axis and allies.

Never played either to be honest but my curiosity may be piqued ;-)
