Suggestion: Naming Feature Reservation (in General)

I remember back on CB1 when ppl joined a clan they would change their name to include the clan tag. Here on CB2 I attempted to do the same and it didn't go over too well since some people think it is funny to take a name. I tried to suggest making a section of the name pool a Clan Tag area, it was too complicated to do.

I completely went about this in the wrong way, some players are very attached to their online handle since it is their reputation and would only change it IF they knew that no one could take it away. Why not create a Name Reservation Feature? One per account and we pay a yearly subscription for it kinda like Item naming(Maybe make their name Red too?). This could bring in more revenue for the game and players would have an assurance that no one could take their name :-)

on a related note, estiah has a feature that is pretty nifty. when you create a clan you also choose a clan abbreviation which is like 4 or 5 characters only. that is what shows in guild battles.

here on cb though, we could do a similar clan tag and have that show in people names at the end or something so it doesn't get confused with the current tags we do have.

The Ability to have a Clan Tag AND Reserve my name so if I change it no one can take my old one? Pfft it's a no brainer to me I would PAY yearly fees for both!

My name is a big part of me, that's one of the reasons I don't stray from it too often. I would like to add tags to it though if I could make sure my real name wasn't stolen.

Why do the tags have to be part of the name. You could make them tags like QB and Admin where they aren't part of the name and you could have the option to show it or not.

i didn't mean part of the name, i meant a tag like the current one at the end though so we can show a couple of tags at once.

I'd pay 5 a year to put my name on reserve...

An Example would be, with possible name reservation, like this:

AdminQBnovice{CotV}

or

AdminQBnovice(R){CotV}

Honestly the colors don't really matter just having it up there would be cool to me.
