Little bug on training sets (in General)

QBRanger July 25 2011 11:15 AM EDT

I experimented with PL on a minion.

I then put a training set on Max PL on that minion.

Decided to unlearn PL, learn AP in its place but kept that training set.

Used it and it put max xp into AP. Got my AP up to 12k, which of course is a bug.

So, you have a training set with Max PL on a minion, you use the training set, then set AP to MAX XP, and I'm not clear what the bug is. You are training AP but not PL now or something?

from what I gather the issue is that the training level is associated with the attribute slot, not what is trained in that slot... change EC to DM and use the same set and it'll train that 'slot' as it would before.

It seems in Ranger's case that this sort of by-passes the training limit on AP....

As he said, minor, but a bug nonetheless.

Loch has it correct.

This actually happened to me before but I can't remember if I ever mentioned it to anyone, so I can second its existence. Loch described how it happens perfectly.

Ok, I know this isn't exactly what you want to hear, but in order to avoid this you cannot save over an existing training set, you must "delete" it then re-create it. That should avoid this bug I'm pretty sure.

Can we do that in the code?

AdminQBVerifex July 25 2011 4:20 PM EDT

I'm pretty sure. I'll look into it as soon as I can.

Does this mean that you put a bunch of XP into armor proficiency that you can't get out without untraining at a loss? If so, this needs to be fixed in multiple places. This needs to be checked on the final train page.

that was my experience with it from tournaments ns.
