I would like to do a strat like that later. (in General)

Jecht January 25 2012 1:37 PM EST

2 minions:

1.
Trains hp dex and UC
Elven gears with a CG and a SoC
Assassin crossbow.
Amulet of focus.

2.
Trains GS and AMF
RoS, corn, spell boosters.
AoI
SoD and a BoT

But UC Doesn't seem to be really good, I would prefer having a flat % of your trained UC bonusing your str and dex.

And that str and dex bonus would not get augmented from items but also would be immune to crossbows and EC.

I would also find it really cool to have different fighting combination depending on the difference between your str and your dex.

OP!

What makes you say that, Quyen?

those 2 together :D and probably the thought that it might be like, 1 UC = 1% bonus to str/dex :p

Well the highest UC in game is at 13m. Having a 10% would give you 1.3m str/dex.

Could be 5%, could be 20%. Just a question of balance.

Areodjarekput January 25 2012 2:40 PM EST

My understanding of what Jecht meant is that a percentage of your UC would be added to your ST/DX, and would not be effected by boosts or EC/ExBow/AxBow. For instance, if the percentage was 5%, 1M DX would give you 50k ST and DX, which could not be raised or reduced.

Jecht ninja'd me.

Quyen January 25 2012 3:10 PM EST

without UC affecting items as CG and Helms?

"I would also find it really cool to have different fighting combination depending on the difference between your str and your dex."

Like if you have a certain % more str then dex, let's say 25%, you get certain amount of BL,perhaps 30%.

And if you got 25% more dex then str, you get an extra hit per round.

Having it inside 25% difference could also give something, but I'm out of idea.

*note that all the numbers are randomly chosen.

UC is better then people think. My jig can do over 1mil damage a blow (on a good hit), and when i can hit people sometimes 7 times in a round, the damage starts to pile up.

Yes,

When junctioned to a Jiggy.

But UC on a minion is less successful. Due to the xp dilution.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 25 2012 9:31 PM EST

being on a cost curve it also competes less well up top and as the game ages. i have a graph somewhere...

Jecht January 25 2012 10:09 PM EST

What do you think about these ideas, do you tend to like it or not?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 25 2012 10:15 PM EST

i think first and foremost uc needs to be put on a linear growth model.

i do like the idea of giving it some special abilities though and the immunity to specialty crossbows is a neat idea but i am not sure how that would be balanced.

tying things like bloodlust in there as well would be too much in my opinion though.

Well, partial linear growth anyway.
The damage-dealing side, not the evasion and PTH side.
The evasion/PTH side can stay exactly the same as it is now.

You could have an UC effect listed as follows (absolutely random numbers here not necessarily realistic) :
[UCx8763] (+104)

certainly!
