That was the first time the "arrow to the knee" reference made me smile.

AdminNightStrike March 15 2012 7:08 PM EDT

The large negatives that you see are a result of optimizations for dealing with positive strength. Having -X does not imply that you would need to train to +X on your character to break even at zero. Like many things in CB, it's not that straightforward.

There is an unfortunate side effect of how we create post battle stats wherein sometimes it is hard to provide an accurate picture of what happened.

QBRanger March 15 2012 7:12 PM EDT

I know NS.

Even if I had 100 Billion HP and 100 Billion strength, I would be drained well into the negatives by multiple exbows now.

I just thought it was funny as nobody ever will get a stat that high ever. Seeing it as negative just made me fall off my chair laughing.

BootyGod March 15 2012 7:12 PM EDT

Did you hurt yourself? :(

QBRanger March 15 2012 7:14 PM EDT

Why all the concern for my health all of a sudden?

AdminNightStrike March 15 2012 7:16 PM EDT

Because pretty soon, you won't have decent healthcare :)

**runs away**

QBRanger March 15 2012 7:20 PM EDT

Truer words were never types NS. And I shudder at that thought.

BootyGod March 15 2012 7:50 PM EDT

I'm glad to see we all support the, "Amazing healthcare for the rich, but very little care for anyone else." debate.

And because falling out of chairs can be painful, Ranger.

QBRanger March 15 2012 7:55 PM EDT

I have yet to see someone who is sick some to the ER and be turned away.

But, hey, why pay for something when the government can give it to you for free. It is tough to give up that iphone or HDTV to actually pay someone for something.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] March 15 2012 7:57 PM EDT

Hi dubya!

BootyGod March 15 2012 8:00 PM EDT

Hi!

Ranger, I'm not getting into it with you. You have a radically different perception on life than most people.

QBRanger March 15 2012 8:09 PM EDT

You have a radically different perception on life than most people.

Certainly.

Being a part of the medical field gives me a radically different perception than most people, including our fine people in DC do not have.

A perceptive about how utterly horrible Obamacare is and the path it is taking the US. The "new" increased costs just discovered by the CBO. The more people that are going to be dropped by their insurance and put on the government system. The IPAB that will have no oversight determining how to adequately ration care.

Yes, joyous time are coming up for healthcare. Joy of joys.

But then, what do I know? I am just out of touch with most people. Growing up lower middle class and working my way to where I am now. Yes, certainly out of touch with never having to eat Roman noodles 7 times a week in college. Never having to work as a janitor to pay for school.

I love it when liberals think the world owes them free things that the "rich" can pay for and think everyone who disagrees have no idea about "perspective".

AdminNightStrike March 15 2012 8:19 PM EDT

Curious.. given your perspective as a doctor, what's your view on pharmaceutical reps? I might have the term wrong, but I'm referring to the people that solicit at offices to sell prescription medications. Donny Darko played someone in that profession in a movie recently. I believe the plot centered around his ability to sell Viagra, while courting possibly Anne Hathaway, someone with Parkinson's.

QBRanger March 15 2012 8:26 PM EDT

Jake Gyllenhaal was Donnie Darko? Wow, never realized that.

QBRanger March 15 2012 8:29 PM EDT

Seriously about Drug Reps:

They are slime. However, they mostly are eye candy slime. They are usually very pretty women all dressed up trying to sell you something.

There is a need for drug reps to show you new drugs, but taking you to a 100 a plate dinner to extol the virtues of xxx drug is a bit much.

Congress has really put the kibosh on "gifts" to doctors for these visits, however, we all know they still happen.

Physicians should use the bestest drug for the situation. Not because they will get a free coffee mug from the rep.

QBRanger March 15 2012 8:34 PM EDT

Am naming my next Daedric Bow,"The ExBow" with stamina damage because of this thread.

If this is a Skyrim reference, you are misnaming your bow.

The stamina damage from a made bow is just crap, at least compared to the 100000% leech one gets from the exbow in CB.

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] March 15 2012 8:37 PM EDT

You have a radically different perception on life than most people.

QBRanger March 15 2012 8:44 PM EDT

You have a radically different perception on life than most people.

Actually using the word "most" is wrong. There are millions of people who feel the same way I do. About life, about religion, about financial matters.

I have lived in 10 states, been both rich and poor. Started and sold my own business. Married, had kids.

I think I have quite the diverse perspective on life. I would say your views are quite in the minority. Certainly not in CB but in general.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] March 15 2012 9:27 PM EDT

"Amazing healthcare for the rich, but very little care for anyone else."

This is a lie, neither me nor my parents are rich, or even upper middle, and I have pretty great health insurance, as does the rest of my family.

QBRanger March 15 2012 9:31 PM EDT

This is a lie, neither me nor my parents are rich, or even upper middle, and I have pretty great health insurance, as does the rest of my family.

Best to save your breath Titan. Some people still see the US as a poor vs rich, black vs white, have vs have nots society. They believe that all rich people are selfish, nasty, arrogant and greedy. Out only for themselves and their families praying in some church.

Or at least the conservative rich people. The liberal rich, well they are all selfless looking out for the greater good of the world.

Being a part of CB has really enlightened me to the liberal condition as I am sure it has for the liberals to the conservative one.

BootyGod March 15 2012 10:02 PM EDT

You cannot be rich without being greedy. It's impossible.

And the question you have to ask yourself in regard to healthcare is what "level" is adequate and what is good.

For instance, there are several clinics and facilities available to those with terminal illnesses. Cancer, AIDS, immune disorders. Different levels of money give you different levels of care. Period.

Ranger is right. Hospitals don't turn away gunshot victims. But they turn away "terminal" cancer patients all. Nevermind that "terminal" only was used because they couldn't afford the treatments to make it less terminal.

Which means, to be blunt, that poor people die more often of the same illnesses that rich people can survive.

It may be realistic. It may be impossible to ever provide perfectly equal healthcare to everyone in a nation this large. But let's not sugarcoat exactly what is going on.

Poor people are dying unnecessarily and you're okay with that. Say it. Be proud.

And of course it's a rich vs poor thing. It's not a black vs white thing. It's not religious in nature. It's not about stereotypes or education.

It's about there only being one pie and the rich want as much of it as they can get. We can't ALL be rich, you know. It doesn't work that way. There's only so much money to be had so the more you have, the less everyone else has. For rich people to get the absolute best care imaginable, poor people DO lose care they could have had with a more equal distribution.

To be a jerk about it, you believe being rich makes you more worthy of living.

QBRanger March 15 2012 10:13 PM EDT

Ranger is right. Hospitals don't turn away gunshot victims. But they turn away "terminal" cancer patients all. Nevermind that "terminal" only was used because they couldn't afford the treatments to make it less terminal.

This alone shows me you have a warped sense of the medical field.

My wife's mother, through faults of her own, was destitute at the time of her lung cancer diagnosis. Not once did she want for medical care from the time of diagnosis to hospice.

The poor in this country have Medicaid. A large part of the people currently, before Obamacare, who did not have insurance were illegal aliens and people who could afford it but chose not to buy insurance.

There are many reasons poor people have higher mortality and morbidity than rich people. Access to healthcare is one of many.

Poor people are dying unnecessarily and you're okay with that.

I am not and never have been. 20% of what I do is free work on the self-pay patients. There will always be inequality in society. But to say all rich people want poor people to die is the call to end this discussion as it has jumped the shark. Well into Godwin's territory.

BootyGod March 15 2012 10:22 PM EDT

Never said you wanted them to die. Of course you don't want them to die. They work for you and provide you with so much comfort! (Yes, I'm being deliberately rough here.)

You just are okay with your care being better than people who make less than you per year.

And don't waste my time calling what I said warped. It wasn't warped, it was reality. No matter how good someone's insurance is, insurance isn't designed to pay the kind of costs that someone with cash reserves can fork over. It just won't. Insurance will always, ALWAYS find the cheapest possible way to provide you with care. Period.

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] March 15 2012 10:42 PM EDT

Wow. Was a joking C&P aimed at your oddly obsessive nature with the exbow or raging lack of humor to even mock naming. Pick which ever seems mostly likely. Both posts should not have been taken That seriously.

Ooookaaaayy, since you've lost your head and ruined your own Occupy EXBOW thread. Might as well have a go.
I have lived in 10 states, been both rich and poor. Started and sold my own business.
That's not most people.
I think I have quite the diverse perspective on life. I would say your views are quite in the minority. Certainly not in CB but in general.
o.0 Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. Here we go again, kids. Will be polite and keep this list within confines.
1) We need more toes to count how many exbow rail threads.
2) Just repeated someone else's text back at you. That's 2 to 1 making you the minority. Though the intents and subject matter were completely different you are still our crazy guy.
3) I'm happy that you remembered my opinion on the exbow. I really am. But! If I really was a minor public fringe thinker... well... I'd probably make other-worldly dictations, continuously denounce reality, often with logical fallacies, and preach delusional solutions to the problem(s) like a certain someone in public. You know, the homeless, or the exbowless, but I have both, so people generally like me. ;)

Back to truthiness!
Some people still see the US as a poor vs rich, black vs white, have vs have nots society.
That's you, dude! CB has a debate forum because of some the tainted crap you've started.
They believe that all rich people are selfish, nasty, arrogant and greedy. Out only for themselves and their families praying in some church.
Drop the "all" bit and we'll probably move on to agree "most" are. ;)
Or at least the conservative rich people. The liberal rich, well they are all selfless looking out for the greater good of the world.
Know what. Let's go back to all for my brief moment of facepalm recovery.
Being a part of CB has really enlightened me to the liberal condition as I am sure it has for the liberals to the conservative one.
I hope this is about admin the NUB sell outs and nerfing the exbow. Otherwise, you outright ignored a few right wing CBers. Funny thing CB being red and grey by default. ;)
But to say all rich people want poor people to die is the call to end this discussion as it has jumped the shark. Well into Godwin's territory.
He was talking about you specifically, much of what you say(S words)has jumped the shark, and Glenn Beck did dress as a nazi.

btw search "6 Things Rich People Need to Stop Saying" on cracked.com, couldn't help thinking of you after seeing the word success!
PS millions more than your millions voted for obama, have a nice day, muahahahahaha
