Xenogard plays stuff... (in Off-topic)

So I finally got around to starting a project I've been wanting to do for a while now which is starting up a LP/Gameplay channel on youtube. Now I've recently fell back into old habits and started playing Pokemon competitively again, so I figured that was a good easy place for me to start with commentaries.

Now while the subject matter of my first video might not interest you in the slightest, I don't care about that, I'm looking for feedback and constructive criticism. How is the video quality, sound quality, what can I do to improve? Stuff like that is what I'm looking for.

The video is fairly long (~15m) so feel free to skip through it if you really don't give a crap but would like to at least check it out and give me some kind of feedback.

A few words of profanity/pseudo profanity and a LOT of UHHH's. A bit long on the explanations while action was happening. Sound quality was fairly good, only a few blips and static areas. Video quality was alright, a few spots were obviously video of video rather than first person recording(or at least it looked that way to me.)


For a first time doing something like this I say not bad at all!

Thanks for the feedback Zen, Profanity I'm not really concerned with (though I should have given warning.. oops) The "Ummms" I expected, and know its something I need to hammer out. I do it in real life too, its just a hard habit to kick.

It is direct screen capture, but the sound recording was done afterwards. I could do the two at the same time, but I needed to split them up in order to speed up the video. The background video is running at 150% as the actual game speed leads the video to be about 23ish minutes long. Maybe there is an easier way for me to do it, but I'm still learning how to work Camtasia Studio. This was the product of my first try at a video, 3rd take on the commentary.
