CPU resources?? (in General)

IPoop December 13 2012 9:00 PM EST

Ive never seen this message before and ive done nothing different etc from what i normally do ... twice in 10BA ive now had the message below and have gone from a 1 minute ban to a 2 minute ban ... has anything changed that ive missed?

To allow everyone fair access to the limited cpu resources, each user may only be in one fight at a time.

If you clicked on fight before your last one finished, you will get this error. Remember, 'your last one' could have been a challenge page, so moving to another activity is NOT safe at this point.

This is open to abuse since it's so easy to create new user accounts. Creating multiple user accounts is illegal, but rather than make that process more onerous for legitimate new users (such as by email verification, which in any case is trivial to spoof), we've chosen as the most foolproof method to additionally limit fighting on an IP address basis for non-Supporters. This means that if you're behind a firewall that makes multiple computers appear to share the same IP, your fights will conflict with others from behind your firewall.

Same thing just happened to me

Zenai [Ministry of Pain] December 13 2012 9:10 PM EST

Same attacking anyone for me and even got a 1 minute suspension.

well ive rebooted and removed virelunce from my list and gone through 20BA with out a hitch :S

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 13 2012 9:27 PM EST

So what are Demi and Sal doing differently than the rest of us?

IPoop December 13 2012 9:29 PM EST

well Zen gets booted after fighting 'King of Pain' so its either that team or the next one down in his list he should try removing

im now 65 battles in and no issues after having it 3 times (and everyone of those was when i hit that same player)

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 13 2012 9:37 PM EST

Mine is Demon Team.

IPoop December 13 2012 9:44 PM EST

cool glad you found it (i did look at yours but you had only stopped the once so didnt want to make a guess at which) - just finished burning all but 1 BA, fought Virulence again and got the bug so for me its definatly a thing between me and that team

Zenai [Ministry of Pain] December 13 2012 9:52 PM EST

Just about my whole damned list >.<

Demigod December 13 2012 9:56 PM EST

So what are Demi and Sal doing differently than the rest of us?

That's so cute -- You think I have a cure for it. No, I drew a couple of 1-2 minute lock-outs. The server issue seems to come and go, so just make use of the time when it's running normally.

Zenai [Ministry of Pain] December 13 2012 10:00 PM EST

When I log In/Out after Cleaning out the cache a few times I can fight. Same with turning my phone off and back on after using 2 different Browsers.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 13 2012 10:05 PM EST

And Black Mesa.

Zenai [Ministry of Pain] December 13 2012 10:14 PM EST

I cannot fight: Dixie Cousins, Incompetent Misfits, Nocturnal Spaghetti

If I do I have to log out, close the window, clear all browsing data then log back in. Only after this can I actually fight properly again.

PotatoHead December 13 2012 10:28 PM EST

I tried logging out cleaning the cache and cookies and all that good stuff. Tried a couple different browsers as well but I can't seem to fight anyone on my fightlist or anyone at all (even on the standard list). I keep getting the CPU resources error or the URL error. Woe is me!

Zenai [Ministry of Pain] December 13 2012 10:33 PM EST

Everything seems to have reset. Try logging out and back in.
