Week long preferred, but I can go with the month long. Definitely not a one day race.

Also to add to answer the second question(Sorry about that) A and B are too traditional. I think it should be based on who has the least amount of farmers at the high end. IE whoever is beaten the least over all. Maybe after the Tourney is over the Top Players duke it out one free and clear fight at a time. then determine who is the toughest over all and there is your winner! Just a thought!

cant really do the anti farmer thing because ppl could use non tourney char to farm. Unless there is a way to keep track of how many farms from tourney char. Other than going through the combat logs by hand I dont think you can track that.

I've got some ideas I'm kicking around for a month long tourney that involves quests, a point system, etc etc to determin the winner... still need to rough out the details ;P

Thats a lot of logs to go through. If your willing to do that that would work.

What do you mean by mid range XP+CBD?

Somewhere between 500%-2000% bonus to both of them. High range would be 10k% like some of Nov's tourneys.

However suggestions are open.

And yes it would require a fair amount of work which is why I'm going to plan it out this weekend ;P

Ok because of a shortage of time on my part (working overtime over the weekend) I probably wont be able to do something super special for my first tournament, but it will definitely be a month long. That is unless I delay it for a little while, but I really wanted to start it this weekend.

Here's what I'm thinking so far.

1600 BA start and cap for the day, 1 round of BA regen per day after that. 2000% Bonus.

After the first day, you must only fight tournament participants.

Winner will be based on a mixture of Win % / # Of opponents you can defeat / # of opponents who beat you. SMs/Draws count against the person who initiated the attack.

If it is worth doing it is worth doing right Xeno. I'd say postpone the start of it so you have time to iron out the details. Just keep us apprised so we know it is still gonna happen.

I'd say run it now and use the experience to create the one you want to spend more time on.

Hmmm well a short one to simply have a Tourney would be nice and garner some experience. 3 Day Tourney Nov Style?

In terms of gear restrictions, I wasn't thinking of any for this one. Maybe when I iron out the details of what I had in mind I'll have gear restrictions.

For gear I would say only lesser tats would be good. That way almost everyone would have access to a tat. Otherwise it could become luck of the draw for the first ones that could afford normal ones out of auctions. That would also focus more on the better strat and less on who got the best tat.

Maybe if we allow regular tats we could just say which one we need and NS or someone could spawn it on our character

Tourey now has its own store which is seperate from the rest of CB. You can buy any item in it that isn't limited by the admin.

Issue with the Tourney Store

Says I cannot buy anything due to someone else buying the item before me or that there is an item cool off period of 20 minutes to go. Yet when I go to my equip page everything I clicked on was bought.

Looks like the money is not being spent either.

Mine said that but after futzing around for 10 minutes I realized it did buy them and I had like 3 in my inventory.

Yeah I noticed that too, dunno why that would be happening. I'll see if NS can look into it.

Well no worries if items are to be free, we have had a couple tournies where certain items were a part of the start. However this in it's current form can be abusive. I'm just playing around with a strat nothing serious so you can disallow my current char from the standings :-)

What is victory based on?

Defeat the target: Belg (~1.8m MPR)

If no one can defeat it then it will go based off MPR/Win%/Highest Defeated MPR.

Had fun with it, retired it on my own. It was nice to have a chance at playing around :-)

The tourney store worked really well for a long time, I'm not sure what changed. I'm looking into it now.

Fixed. This was broken since the inception of it.

Prizes are:

1st - 1M CB$
2nd - 500K CB$
3rd - 250K CB$

Definitely fun to run through 1600 BA! I am also getting a better grasp of what the NPs are running into and poor NCBs for that matter. It's been a great learning experience for me thanks for the opportunity :-)

Haha, nice. Was debating whether or not to make the target much harder but I wasn't really certain exactly what range a 4K bonus would land you in after 2600+ BA was spent.

But this helps me gauge it pretty well ;P
