Tourneys (in General)

I apologize everyone, I know I said I'd throw more tourney's more often, but between work, my girlfriend, PoE Races, and my friends from Jersey visiting over the last week. I've had no time to run any proper tourney's.

If you guys have any ideas of something you'd like me to run (hell even a few month long very passive tourney would be cool with me) let me know so I can set up a schedule and have these things set up to run more often or geared towards what you guys want to do.

I'd have to say that two of the best tournies I have seen and played in had a Gladiator Arena (Shade did this one)and Zombie(Slayer333) theme but had a heavy RPG feel to it. Both were incredibly awesome! This as a month long (or more)tourny would be awesome in my honest opinion!

I barely know anything about tournaments. Are the guidelines in the wiki on Tournament Information (http://www.carnageblender.com/wiki/Tournament+Information) still valid? Who runes these things? And I like Shade's tournament idea:

Pokemon

Players pick 1 of the lesser Familiars.
Players fight 1000-1500 BA and try to reach highest MPR (or score)
Players then pick a 2nd Familiar, one different than the first, and fight to the top again.
Third time, they pick a new Familiar and try once more.
Highest MPR or Familiar level would win ultimately.
Shade

There was a problem with determining a winner with Pokemon.

Also, most of those rules don't apply anymore. Rules are generally stated at the start of the tourney now.

How do you guys feel about testing out a month long tourney as sort of an experiment for having an ongoing tourney separate from the regular game? I cant really think of anything special other then being a sandbox with fairly high bonuses.

Prizes would be based on top 5 players in -every- category ;) ;) (Hmmm...)

I have a tallying system set up in my head, winner would be based on who every gets the most over all points.
