Suggestion : Raise clan limit from 4 to 6, party time! (in General)
At present with clans being based upon 4 it means clans are ultimately limited to 4, then more before they grow. I've been a long opposer of having a PR limit at all, but it is quite clear it is staying.
Is it possible to raise the amount it is based upon to 6 so clans would be more around the 6,7 and 8 range (as some are always going to be low level ish with that many), as "clans" are really not clans if its just 4 people. It would mean clans had more identity, and maybe more interesting, at the moment being more a plethora of tiny groups high in number and low in identity.
Just a thought, tiny change programming wise I'd guess but cant really think of any disadvantages to it.

I like the PR limits to keep everything fair, but I also agree 4 is too small. Beyond the notoriety reasons, people do go on vacations or have off-days and it has a disproportionate impact on clan rewards.

Personally I do not agree with clan PR limits. Reason: Since a 30k PR character can get more clan points then a 400k PR character since they have more BA's to use (higher BA regen rate). But the 400k PR character uses more space than the 30k PR one.
IMO it should be the number of characters in a guild that is the limiting factor.
But in any event, having 6 or 7 in a guild is a great idea.

I too would like to see this. It seems like some of the top 20 clans are bouncing around from 5th to 20th based on the fact that 1 guy might be away. Clan rating either needs to be more long term than 1 day, or clans need to be a little larger.
That said, I think a limit as to PR is ok, so that every clan has a range of player levels.

6 people would be a little more fun. Something about 4/5 people in a clan just makes it sound more like a little club than a clan ^_^.

Ranger: also a 30K pr character can lose a lot more points, mainly due other clan characters fighting it, than a 300K pr character can.
having all highest characters in 1 clan would mean #1 clan.
No more about PR limit removal, old argument, suggestion is the increase to 6 characters instead of 4.

Bad idea. Right now, the system is set up for nice competition. Don't fix what's not broken.
How would having more members mean there was less competition?

There are over 100 standard clans, and the only ones that compete are those in the top 30 or so. The others others are farm clans, or just for people who want that little extra bonus from being in clans.
If the number of people allowed in a clan were increased, then I'm guessing that the number of "competitive" (ie active, non-farm) clans would decrease, which would in turn reduce the inter-clan competition, since there would be less clans to fight. This would probably also mean that less clans should receive the ranking bonus.
I had a few other points to make, but forgot them as I was writing this... does the above make sense?

That bit does not, imo.
If the number of clans reduce while the members increase it will mean there are exactly the same number of people in clans, so same number to fight, just that there under less banners.
If there is war between 20 people there is going to be a lot more appraent rivalry and competition than if there were 100...

Yeah, that's true, you're right. There would be slightly less people to fight, with a couple more people your own clan, but that wouldn't make a difference. I did have another argument regarding that, but forgot it... grr.
