Grand Prize: 1 Million CB2. not so hard to win (in Contests)

Fire Upon Heaven May 5 2005 9:38 PM EDT

What to do to win?
Be my referal at netbux, i get money, you get money, you also get a chance to win 1 million CB2.

How Netbux Works
At Netbux, we pay our members to search the internet. There are no strings or gimmicks. You simply register with Netbux and you earn money instantly from your very first search. You will earn $0.02 for every search you make for up to 40 paid searches per day, therefore the maximum pay per day for your individual searching is $0.80. It doesn't matter what you search for or which engine you use to search with..
To make things even better, you will also earn $0.02 for every search that your referrals make for up to 40 searches a day as well! Therefore the maximum pay per day for each referral is $0.80.

Who wins the 1 million?
Whoever gives me the most money by March 15th (10 days from now) will win the money. Since there is a possibilities of a tie. upon which the money will be evenly split and sent to the winners.

Here's my referal link:
http://netbux.org/?r=141707

P.S. This process would only take 5, maximum 10 minutes per day. you can do it easily when waiting for your BA, or inbetween minutes while camping.

I figured that nobody is dumb here. but......if there was only 1 person registers using my link. he will win that 1 million.

Fire Upon Heaven May 5 2005 9:40 PM EDT

ooooooooooo forgot to mention. registration is easy. only need your paypal account (that's where they send you your money), and your personal email (can be fake). and cm me or post your email here after you register. so i know who's who.

Xiaz on Hiatus May 5 2005 9:41 PM EDT

My question is how do they know when you're searching?

Do you need to install software? Don't blame for being a bit suspicious.

Fire Upon Heaven May 5 2005 9:43 PM EDT

you do not have to install anything. you search from their website. and it links you into search engines such as google/yahoo. and they have pop ups for every search. and that's where they get their money from.

AdminShade May 5 2005 9:58 PM EDT

and if you don't have paypal yourself?

Fire Upon Heaven May 5 2005 10:31 PM EDT

umm. you can enter a fake paypal addy. no big deal.

Chargerz-Back May 5 2005 11:40 PM EDT

i'm in, can't hurt right?

Fire Upon Heaven May 5 2005 11:41 PM EDT

yup. can't hurt. you can use fake email + fake paypal if you want. and if you are the only one in. you will get the million CB2

Chargerz-Back May 5 2005 11:43 PM EDT

no, i used real paypal and real e-mail. i want money out of this too lol.

Chargerz-Back May 5 2005 11:46 PM EDT

oh, one more question. how often do the credit your account?

House May 6 2005 1:53 AM EDT

i'm in...

onlyyouknow May 6 2005 6:58 AM EDT

I'm also in.

mchaos May 6 2005 8:11 AM EDT

I am also in

TrueDevil [AAA] May 6 2005 10:21 AM EDT

I'm in too, but I used my other paypal account. Do you need our email or something for verification, who is who ?

Mythology May 6 2005 10:43 AM EDT

Im in, email is o_hen@hotmail.com though have to say this site seems too good to be true :) For the moment though looks okay :)

[EG] Almuric May 6 2005 11:40 AM EDT

$0.02 per search? And it gives you a popup each time? You'd have to pay me 50 times as much for me to willingly subject myself to popups.

Tell me, does a working popup blocker still give you the cash?

Also, you probably meant May 15th, not March.

Bubo [DTC of Bubo] May 6 2005 12:01 PM EDT

I'm in.

To answer a few questions, they pay on the 15th of the month *if* your balance is $50 or more. If it's less than $50, it rolls to the next month with no loss.

They are earning their money by displaying an advertisement at the top of the search results page. It looks like they are using iframes to show both their content and the search engine content. There is also a popup on exit, but they claim to credit your account before the popup appears, so I think you still get paid even if the popup is blocked. Default IE and Firefox popup blocks do not stop the window.

House May 6 2005 3:09 PM EDT

to answer almuric..yes ..a pop up blocker still accumulates the pennies :)

Chargerz-Back May 6 2005 3:50 PM EDT

dumb new members! taking up to much server space! =D

Kilobot571 May 6 2005 4:28 PM EDT

I'm in too, though it does look a little fishy

Kilobot571 May 6 2005 4:32 PM EDT

nevermind. it looks ALOT fishy.

Chargerz-Back May 6 2005 4:35 PM EDT

why do you say that? i figure they make money because too many people give up before they reach $50.

Fire Upon Heaven May 6 2005 7:06 PM EDT

thanks all for coming out~

Fire Upon Heaven May 6 2005 9:22 PM EDT

i just figured that netbux does not show accumulative totals of the money i get from each referal. thus i have to accumulate each myself. i will record the day's earnings for each person at 9pm est (CB server time) and add them up to find the total.

TrueDevil [AAA] May 6 2005 11:28 PM EDT

hmm, since you haven't answered my question, I'll just give the email here, I used trueweltall_82@hotmail.com

Fire Upon Heaven May 7 2005 9:07 AM EDT

oops. didn't see your first reply. what i probably will do is this. for the winners. i will post a few letters of their email on here. and you can confirm your email(filling in blanks) by CM me. so i will know who is who.
for example. the winner's email is abcdefg@hotmail.com, i will post here a_c_e_g@hotmail.com. and the the winner just cm me the correct email. (thisis incase you used fake email)
OR i will probably email your email if you win

Mythology May 7 2005 9:51 AM EDT

any chance of a ranking table now?

Fire Upon Heaven May 7 2005 11:10 AM EDT

umm. sure. i will post your number and the amount of money you earned for each day i check at 9pm

Fire Upon Heaven May 7 2005 11:12 AM EDT

TrueDevil [AAA] May 8 2005 12:21 AM EDT

Is it just me or the website has been down for like 12+ hrs or so ?

Fire Upon Heaven May 8 2005 8:25 AM EDT

i think so too. this happened once before that i know of......

Reebok May 8 2005 9:36 AM EDT

Not saying you're trying to scam anyone, but aren't you making money off this contest? The USD you make off this could probably buy more than a couple mil CB2.

9 Players each make fifty cents a day, that's $4.50 a day. If the game goes for ten days, thats $45 bucks.

If all 9 players got the full .80 a day, that's $72 you just brought in.

Not sure how the regulations for a contest such as this works, and as everyone benefits from it, it doesn't seem like a big deal, but technically you are profitting from it (not sure what the going rates are, but $45 could probably get you two mil easy).

Maybe a better idea would be to use the total amount of money you make to buy CB2 and give it to the winner(s).

AdminShade May 8 2005 10:48 AM EDT

I figured that nobody is dumb here. but......if there was only 1 person registers using my link. he will win that 1 million.

look in the post, he perhaps is making money off the results of the contest but he is also rewarding people money, might be me and ask another admin to verify but i'd say to agree to keep it a contest...

Reebok May 8 2005 12:55 PM EDT

Like I said, it seems like it's mostly on the up and up. The only two things that sparked my attention were...

1. I was curious how much a small group of friends could make off that site if they just searched every day.

2. I was wondering where Fire was going to get the money since he's only got 400K or so.

Fire Upon Heaven May 8 2005 1:10 PM EDT

i didn't really get what you meant on #1. for #2 i will address it today then by buying 1 mil cb2 with USD. i will post it on FS/WTB.

Reebok May 8 2005 1:12 PM EDT

#1 Just inspired me to do the math to figure out how much could be made off that site.

Then I thought about it and said, I wonder how much he's making off the contest?

TrueDevil [AAA] May 8 2005 1:15 PM EDT

It seems that the website is still down, is it ?

Chargerz-Back May 8 2005 1:17 PM EDT

say one person has 10 referrals completing all 40 searches a day.

10 referrals + 1 referrer = 11 x .80 = $8.80 a day, it could add up quick.

AdminShade May 8 2005 1:33 PM EDT

also the people enterring make money from it... though $0.80 might not be that much if you continue for 10 days its $8 usd already

Fire Upon Heaven May 8 2005 2:16 PM EDT

btw. i don't know if the site is a scam or not. so i'm also taking a risk. if they don't pay me at all. i might be losing $20 instead

House May 8 2005 2:19 PM EDT

anyone been able to login to netbux..or for that matter get to the web page since Friday?

Fire Upon Heaven May 8 2005 2:23 PM EDT

i've heard that they are making a cluster? although i have no idea what it means. but that;s what they are doing

Fire Upon Heaven May 8 2005 9:11 PM EDT

looks like netbux might be a scam after all. if it does not work after tommrow, i will call this contest off. and for tribute to people who signed up. i will send 50k to each person. I found this other site that will be doing sort of the same thing. but it does not start until later this month. i might start the same contest with that website.

Fire Upon Heaven May 9 2005 6:09 PM EDT

it looks like a scam to me now. i'm going to send 50k to each who participated, thanks for your time. i'm probably going to hold a similar contest soon with this website: http://pay-pup.com/create.php?r=58985
sign up and get familar with it quick :p. thanks all

Fire Upon Heaven May 9 2005 7:29 PM EDT

just heard paypup is scamming too. T.T. i give up on these. hehe

House May 13 2005 11:20 PM EDT

netbux is live again...FYI.....

TrueDevil [AAA] May 14 2005 9:08 AM EDT

I just saw their Policies, It seems that they removed paypal as payment option, now they will be only sending money through stormpay or check.

I'm really curious about this, and decided to try it out anyway, see if I can get anything at all. Nothing to lose anyway.

Fire Upon Heaven May 14 2005 12:47 PM EDT

i really doubt it though.
