armor change part 5 (in Changelog)

Removed CBF

Added TBF: same principle as CBF, but without the penalties and splash damage. 20 TBF and 20 LTBF in auctions; tattoo artist will be able to change existing tattoos to (L)TBF for the usual price.
Update: forgot to mention, TBF gives +10 evasion

Changed names of ToI, ToF, ToS

At this point it's only fair to acknowledge that this was not a small change month after all. (Melissa turned out to be a very mellow baby, in stark contrast with her older brother.)

I'm going to get in trouble if I don't go eat lunch with my wife, so if it's broken I will fix it soon.

Important safety tip: if you had a cbf, your PR won't fix itself until you equip another cloak (although perhaps it will at cache flush time...).

One question I had about this is the people who suddenly started unloading their CBF's on via the forums for usd and cb2 right before this change was made. Does that raise any red flags to anyone else? Insider information?? Or just coincidence??

as someone who was selling his cobf, i had no inside info. I was not even using it for the past week.

before you made the change i bidded 3mil in auction for a cobf from budice, but now that its deleted i didn't get my money back
can i get my 3mil back?

I am not accusing anyone of anything, I just found it strange that 2 CBF's were being sold in forums within 5 mins of each other and a little over 2 hours before the changelog post...looked fishy to me is all. I apologize if my post came off as accusational.

I just bought that CBF yesterday for 3.5 mil...and i got 2.5 mil from Jon...even after this cash, I'll still have a mil to pay of my debt =(

After the NW/PR link people were divesting their assests so to say. If the COBF would only help them beat 1 or 2 more people on their fight list, it is not worth the added PR.

Thats why so many were for sale/trade.

I have to admit that this is a fair change, but I'm disappointed that I lost my nice CBF. Now I need to find a replacement...

So, how do these new tattoos reduce FB damage? The CBF worked on a per point basis, the tattoos will have xp, not enchantment points.

Also, It's not worth anyone buying a new TBF. You might as well buy a 100K+ tattoo of anything else and TA it. Otherwise, you'll never raise one large enough to be of any worth...

Good change. I lost mebbe 200-300k cause of this one. Not as expensive as my HoI mistake (cost me 600k). Keep up the good work, and buy the wife some flowers!

DB because CBF didn't grant FB immunity, just a certain amount of protection per point. I was getting hit for at least 80k by FB with a +40 CBF.

I am wondering since my CoBF which no longer exists was named, should that naming be available to use on another item? I would have 10 months + of naming left on it which seems to be a purchase that vanished :(

Out of curiosity, how were named CBFs handled?

I got 5.9m for my named 3m NW CBF.

pay offs weren't NW based, but based on the games determination of their value.

I was told (2nd hand info) that it was 2.9 base + NW= payment amount.

Vagabond that would mean you got 100k for your naming.
