Timestamp petition (in General)
There's a small chance that this might actually work...
If you want the timestamp removal change reverted in all areas of CB, sign here...

Yes, please revert to the old way.
Sometimes if it is not broke, no need to fix it.

time stamps are very useful when it comes to basically anything. Definately needed in the forums/chatmail.

Unless there's a very good reason for not having it can we have the timestamp back. I receive many CMs and it's a useful part of the audit trail when following up on certain issues.
Yes, please, return the timestamps.
April 28 2007 12:29 PM EDT
okay, okay... :P
April 28 2007 12:31 PM EDT

May 8 2007 1:06 AM EDT
Rich, thanks for the support, but the time stamps were already returned thanks to this petition :)
May 8 2007 2:40 AM EDT
Oh? I still don't see them in the forum...
Refresh? Switch to new forums? File a bug report? They're back for everyone else.
May 8 2007 2:51 AM EDT
'Active threads' is the same for everyone, I believe. And I see no timestamps there for all but the newest posts, only a date. If you do see a time as well, then I'm interested to know how you managed to get that.
May 8 2007 2:52 AM EDT
Yeah, the active threads listing just shows a date, but if you go into the threads the timestamp is back.
May 8 2007 2:59 AM EDT
Well, the whole point of the Active threads page is to get an idea what threads have replies since the last time you've visited the forums. Without the timestamp, there's not much use for such a page, as I have no way of finding out which threads were active after 6pm EDT yesterday (around the time I fell asleep).
Oh.. it would seem you're right....
I guess that means this petition is back on. I just sorta assumed that everything would get fixed properly.
May 8 2007 4:08 AM EDT
Yeah its off for me too (in active threads) - maybe Jon is trying some sort of experiment (social or otherwise ;)
May 8 2007 11:33 AM EDT
If you look under active threads, the time stamp is off on yesterdays posts.
However, if you look at the specific posts, the time stamp is still there.
This thread is closed to new posts.
However, you are welcome to reference it
from a new thread; link this with the html
