Yes, in very large doses anything can be bad.
It is no worse then drinking a can of diet pepsi everyday if used in moderation.

I second Ranger, while not in my field perse, though I am a Chemist and have read some things about it.
I utterly dislike the taste of it and recognize it quite well for its strange but sweet taste.
In very large quantities it can be very damaging, and it even has been rumored to be carcinogenic but this perhaps has been disproven by now. A can of diet soda per day shouldn't do you any more harm than the same can of non diet soda on the sugar part of the story. :)

I usually drink 2 Liters a day . Most days its the only thing I drink.

Aspartame and that Saccharin are horrible sweeteners? Why do they exist!? Whats wrong with good old natural SUGAR?
If people cannot enjoy sugar in moderation then, well, thats the least of their problems.
