T31: Super Carnage Brothers Melee (in Contests)

The rules:

You may not equip or train any item or spell that fires before melee rounds, Decay is allowed.

You must create your character the day the tournament starts. You may not start a new character during the tournament nor may you join late.

You must fight only other tournament characters after the second day of the tournament.

You must have a [T31] tag preceeding your tournament characters' name.

If you choose to make a tank, you may request one weapon from me, I have 15 Elven Long Swords, and 15 BoNE's to be distributed. Chatmail me to request one.

You may not train evasion.

You may not use any tattoos.

The Tournament will begin on the 17th at noon, and end on the 24th at noon

The win condition is highest win/loss ratio, wins and losses include all battles, not just battles challenged. Winners have their choice of any of the following prizes.

Is there a minimum amount of battles you must fight?

i would like to reserve an ELS and is there a max amount of battles we can do?

with your rules if a person wins 1 battle and loses none he wins the tourney...

since we can only fight other tourney characters after a specified time, it would be up to us to make sure that no one does that. if they have only fought one battle, they should be easy to beat.

i think this is why the rule is in place that you have to make your character on the first day and can't join late etc.

the above statement does assume that by "create your character on day one" that slayer also means training at least one minion at that point.

Just a HINT: beating on other low level opponents isn't going to help you or them... find opponents who give you a 100% bonus and fight them.

I missed the start of the tourney :(

But I made a 'farm' character anyways just for fun. It will be retired at the end to not mess with any results.

do draws and stalemates count as losses? or is it by win percentage?

i am not positive, but i assume it will use the stat obtained under recent battles>24 hour summary and then listed at the top.

If I remember right, draws count as wins; stalemates count as losses.

I would like to see all people using spells and items not allow retired. The win/loss method for deciding the winner dictates that only chars obeying the rules should be able to attack other tourney chars. "Fun" is not an excuse for cheating.

Is it that he was fighting other characters? He does not seem to have messed with the win percents too much 7 fights on the most on one person.

I've still recorded all fights with [T31] characters in which he participated for future reference.

Considering that's the method being used to decide the win, any tampering is really weak...

perhaps in the tournies where we can only fight other tournament players, in the future we could add a prize that is given to a random participant that has not one any other prize but has an active character at the end.

many people tend to drop out of the tournies when they no longer feel they can compete and it makes it pretty slim pickings, especially when you are in the bottom. my suggestion might encourage people to just leave their character active rather than retiring it.

prizes could be half a million or something to that effect.

Not exactly. They would have a limited amount of BA to double tap with and that assumes their double tap is even capable of killing the player.

He isn't trying to knock me off though. And he couldn't double tap me anyway. Not even sure that he could quad tap me honestly.

I don't think we can be so confident in the results. I've noticed though I won't say them, hopefully no one will find out, that there are gaping holes in each of our strategies. Not tiny ones, gaping ones so I think its fairly likely that our luck will change.

That is what retraining is for. If someone is farming you... retrain. I've probably retrained over 100x already this tournament. Luckily with my current strategy I only have to retrain one minion to counter someone.

Um, there are things that can force a full retrains for all of us, well almost full, though it would require sufficient mpr and the person doing so would essentially be giving up hope of getting a prize.

Like I said, I've probably retrained close to 100 times this tournament. The MPR effect is very minimal and hardly changes the outcome if you play it right.

it's never that simple, you can't say you've seen all the possible options, or understand their effects for that matter
