strange SoD effect... (in General)

i get hit by Character Failure, like this :
Failsafe's shot ricocheted near Hot
Failure's shield flashes! [2,289,038](impressive !!)
Failure's explosive shot hit Dog [2406337], Hot [35523], Super [39632]

see the 2,406,337 !!!!!


I get hit by Character Conundrum, like this :
X-Wing's explosive shot hit Dog [330239], Hot [88891], Super [99627]
X-Wing's explosive shot hit Dog [317396], Hot [84431]
X-Wing's explosive shot hit Dog [326881], Hot [86561]

max damage hit, this time is 326k only... thats a 2 mil+ damage difference...


biggest hit by physical damage i receive is by Character Law
, which has a big bow i think, is this :
Order struck deep into Dog [1,694,394]

so my big question, how can Failure Sling od death can hit me for 2,4 mil dmg ?

read up on the SoC again, when it flashes the damage is not dealt then and there its added to the next blow of the weapon that triggered the flash

I believe that SoD is not supposed to return SoC damage, though. Not supposed to. Either it is, or it's displaying as though it were. In either case, something needs to be fixed and/or clarified.

The first number by Dog includes the SoC damage.

You only receive it once.

The line about the shield flashing is to let you know how much damage it does, the next blow includes it.

That SoD really did 2406337-2289038 or about 111000.

I always thought the SoC gave damage only with a melee hammer weapon.

It seems to do so with all missile weapons. It does this even with my rented ELB.

ok i get it, the 2,289,038 damage of the flashing of the shield is added to damage done by the next hit, in this case a SoD.... thats major shield effects... !!! rock on !!

it is supposed to work with uc as well, or it does but not when junctioned to a jiggy.

hey guys, so I brought this to NS's attention about a month ago... I believe it is a bug. I researched it pretty extensively against a variety of opponents using a couple different weapons. Basically equipping a hammer on a minion with a SoC and ranged weapon will cause damage to be returned. It works with every ranged weapon.

I experimented with it by equipping a base lucerne hammer and voila!

Before you all run to grab a SoC I would propose that it will be fixed shortly (the reason I never took advantage of my research :)

I'm guessing his can't be higher than +20 or so, so my question is what are you hitting him with that ~30% means over 2mil coming back at you?

For those thinking I am abusing the ranged damage aspect. I have a 45M NW SoD I am equipping, it is not base.

yeah i bring my strenght to 11 mil for the show-off demonstration, otherwise its a bit more than half of this...Damage decrease very fast as strenght decrease...i know all about it, with those enforcer bow around... some Exbow make me loss like 5 to 10 mil str. in a single hit !!!
