Today was a very good day.

When did you wake up?

Dear Diary:

My sleep habits are now being questioned. I was up very late playing poker. Finished fourth when the top 3 made the money. Stupid all in with A-Q. Tried to prevent a blind steal and he outdrew me on the turn. Damm K.

Slept late to get 6 good hours. Woke up at 8:00, played with the kids in the morning before logging on to CB. I actually do have a life outside of CB.

Please let Ranger know that Jon hasn't been online in two days, and that it may be a better idea to email Jon or NS to remind them of Dudemus's bug list.

Jon did say that he's now forwarding his @CarnageBlender.com address to his GMail so he can check it more often. If you recall his CB addy, go for it. It should be something along the lines of Jonathan@[intentionally left blank for spam].com or Admin@[no spammy].com...

It should have been obvious that I would have CMd and emailed NS about the BoE bug. And am awaiting some sort of answer/reply.

My history with CMing Jon has been not very successful, so I tried NS.

But common sense is sometimes lost in the wallows of dispair.

Depending on the blinds and his relative stack size, he might not have had another option and thus defended his blind. Often, with a premium hand (AQ is premium when you're four handed), you can't make any other decision.

Dear Diary:

I had A-Q in the small blind. The button put in a nice raise, which I took for a blind steal. He did have me covered and I was 3rd in chips. I do not play for 3rd. I reraised all in and he called with K-Q. Hit the K on the turn. I was a heavy favorite to double up and come closer to 1st place.

I would do it again 100/100 times.

It was a live game ending about 1AM.

So Ranger, I'm confused, how are we all supposed to think you're anything more than a complaining child, knowing that you're a full grown man with a family and a career, when your posts are constantly made to mock, insult and generally put down other members of our dwindling community? Its not hard to be the best person in CB, when you're the only person in CB.

The fact Jon is nowhere to be found obviously has nothing to do with the dwindling membership. People never get frustrated with bugs that greatly effect gameplay. And after a while just decide to bail for greener pastures.

People also think it is ok for some to have personal diaries in CB, but not appropriate for others.

What a stupid double standard.

Though it's completely irrelevant to the main point of the thread, I don't think Jon's lack of bug squashing has anything to do with the size of the community. No one's going to quit just because of the temporary BoE super-boost. The major bugs will be fixed at some point, even if it does a while. The bigger concern (to me at least) is the utter lack of marketing. Remember that I didn't sign up for CB because of an inticing flash ad, I joined because I played CB1 until it died and decided to see what had changed over the years.

I also don't foresee Jon or NS coming up with a huge marketing budget, so fixing the "dwindling membership" may come down to a fellow player creating a brilliant MySpace/Facebook app to increase the community.

lol, you crack me up Ranger. A Poker player eh? I spend a lot more time then I should on the felt. I would also do what you did every single time. A funny one a few weeks ago that I had with AQ suited: I was in the BB with 6 players left, top 3 get paid.

Button raised to 3x the BB (he was almost tied with me in chips and very aggressive) SB called, and I reraised all in. Button calls and has me covered by like 200. (50,000 pot or so) SB calls all in.


Button has: Q10 off.
SB has Q9 suited. (said he was getting bored, I don't really know :S)

So the flip comes A47... woot? I had a pair with a flush draw.
then it runner 10s. I was like... really... lol

This made me chuckle lol. I like : )

Heh, I lost pretty bad in poker last night as well. Went all in preflop, big blind no raises till me, with A-K suited, lost to 2-7 offsuit. 2-7 offsuit came out with a boat on the flop...

Yesterday was a good day, I had a beer in the sun and roosted a hamburger on the grill. It was very busy in the city of Eindhoven. Many people were celebrating Queensday. The DJ spun nice tunes and all was good.

Dear Diary:
Yesterday was not a good day, some idiot attacked the royal dutch family. He failed in his objective yet he killed 5 and injured 15 innocent bystanders. Queensday is ruined now, and many cities are halting there festivities. Luckily the guy that did the act died as well.

turns out, GS substituting for Str on a Single Archer with a Hal familiar aint so bad!

actually, the avg damage is more than it used to be before i changed Str to GS.
Cool thing is i never have to train archery because Str with always be lvl 20 forever.

i even fought single minions with DM and still won! boy oh boy
