Untouchable's Strat Idea: Tank-Tank (in Off-topic)

Untouchable May 31 2009 3:58 PM EDT

so this is my idea for a tank-tank strategy.

Order:T1T2 (T1=Tank one)(T2= Tank two)

Tat: ToA on the tank #2

Attributes:
-(tank 1)hp/str/dex evenly after 1/5 training Antimagic Field
-(tank 2)hp/str/dex/bloodlust trained evenly after training 1/5 etheral chains

Weapons:
-Mace Of Disruption on Tank 1
-Assassin's Crossbow on Tank 2

Armor:
-Mage shields on both Tanks
-Whatever Str+ items

PROS:
-very effective against tanks as their Dex is reduced to a mere nothing, not being able to damage your minions
-effective against mages due to the mage shields and AMF.

CONS:
-Enemies that have huge MPR on this strat lol
-Enemies that use huge Ethereal Chains

Don't think you can cast AMF and EC with Mgs equipped.

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:00 PM EDT

Revision:

Weapons:
-Mace Of Disruption (Tank 2)
-Assassin's Crossbow (Tank 1)

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:05 PM EDT

Revision:

Keep Antimagic field on Tank 1 but change Mage Shield to Shield Of Capacity so AMF is still castable

Why two tanks if you are using one ranged and one melee weapon? You are splitting your damage for no good reason. Assasin's crossbow do very little damage in case you are wondering.

Note that people can still hit you even if you do drain their dex if you have no form of evasion/DBs.

I'm not really sure how this strat is going to survive. Even if you do have MgS, you have significantly less Hp than most teams so you'll die anyway.

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:06 PM EDT

Revision:
-Just mage shields no Enchant Offensives at all

im gonna repost this lol

AdminShade May 31 2009 4:07 PM EDT

I'm wondering the same, you might be much better off with using just 1 minion and using both weapons on it.

You'll have much higher HP to train and you can ease up on the ST and DX some.

QBRanger May 31 2009 4:07 PM EDT

Why not just use a exbow?

It does all you need with very little strength required. Just train 50k strength, a whole lot of dex and you can nerf every other tank out there with 50M NW investment.

With a high dexterity, one does not need PTH on the weapon to hit (dex BTH will do that).

1 Hit at x4k and insta win.

I would not really worry about it getting nerfed as it has lasted this way for over 2 years. And look and see who uses one, that should clarify things.

Don't you just love items you can abuse!!!

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:07 PM EDT

Whole point of havin the minion with the AxBow is too annihilate the enemies Dex.

its very effective

QBRanger May 31 2009 4:08 PM EDT

Did you read my post?

Why nerf their dex when you can do all that and more nerfing their entire strength in 1 hit?

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:08 PM EDT

Ranger <3 lol

AdminShade May 31 2009 4:08 PM EDT

also, plz don't repost this in another thread, just continue in this one ;) (saves clutter)

three4thsforsaken May 31 2009 4:08 PM EDT

even if you kill their dex, there is a still a chance they can hit you. If you kill their str, they can't do anything.

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:09 PM EDT

ExBow it is!

QBRanger May 31 2009 4:11 PM EDT

We have a winner!!!

I would also use a SoD with MoD on your other/real TOA tank.

Use the TOA to get free PTH and just up the x on the weapons.

Put the exbow on minion 1, train strength to about 50k, split the remaining xp on dexterity and HP. Use EC/EB/EG to max your dexterity. Train PL on it and use it as a PL/TSA minion after it takes out enemy tanks. You can put it in front with its high dex to help vs other tanks but I would have it in back using a MgS for mages/MM.

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:12 PM EDT

wow this strat is looking real good now thanks to you all

thanks, home boys!

QBRanger May 31 2009 4:16 PM EDT

x4k on a exbow is about 36M or so.

x4k on a SoD is about 36M or so.

x8k on a MoD is about 72M or so.

All in all about 144M or so in weapons.

Just note you will have little or no AMF/DM.

I would have a low AMF, about 100k to stop base decay. Learn it on the TOA tank as the other uses the MgS in back. Other than that, pump up the HP on your ToA tank and you should be fine vs GA/AS.

QBRanger May 31 2009 4:19 PM EDT

Learn evasion or BL on your first tank as needed.

Untouchable May 31 2009 4:22 PM EDT

i think evasion on the first tank will do me some justice ^^

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] May 31 2009 4:50 PM EDT

wasn't the first tank going to be a PL/TSA minion?

three4thsforsaken May 31 2009 6:50 PM EDT

why are we having two tanks instead of one? I don't understand.

QBRanger May 31 2009 7:00 PM EDT

Well the first using nothing but an exbow is really a tank/wall.

The exbow is just too good to pass up. As you know, 1 hit from almost any strength just destroys any opposing tank at only x3.5k.

The 2nd minion, after using the exbow, can be a hp/pl minion to help back up the first tank.

The exbow thing is something I will do once I get enough CB2 to raise one enough. I will put it on a secondary minion myself training only dexterity and be invulnerable to all opposing tank teams.

As I stated, I highly, no very highly, doubt the exbow will be changed so why not abuse it also.

UT has a nice strategy to use if he can get the items he needs.

With suggested revisions, sound like a fun strat. Now, there's the small problem of being rich...
