TOE is great. (in General)

With a mere 39Mil NW in AC set, a bare 600k HP, and 0.52 Endurance from TOE we have against a huge Bow of Ranger (or Vectoidz) and the result is amazing:

The problem with the ToE has never been that it sucks at blocking damage. It's that you're using your tattoo slot to counter just one type of damage.

I actually considered using a ToE/ wall not too long ago. With about 330 AC and no SS you are looking at over 80% damage reduction. With SS it goes to about 90%.

Beating tanks have never been so easy :D.

Now if you want to do something interesting, try putting an SoC instead of an MS on the wall. You'll lose only a few percent reduction but suddenly you have a damage dealer! Put on BL and it's all fun an games. (obviously you will have trouble hitting people, but it'll help against teams with kill slots with a ton of HP...like novice!)

Sarcasm aside- I fail to see the point. The ToE is quite good at what it does, certainly. But... when there are so few targets worth using a ToE against, I think that is evidence enough that the item could use at least a slight rework.

Plus, it is the only tattoo that suffers from STEEP diminishing returns in effectiveness as compared to its PR increase, which I believe is unfair.

For someone like FTW who has the highest MPR and tons of native hp and a HP wall the TOE is great.

Not much else I can do about this one, gotta give credit where credit is due. That is rather amazing damage reduction! Backed with PL... now there are two targets that will never be defeated by a physical damage dealing team.

KoP uses massive DBs.

He does not use a ToE, with enough PTH you can beat him.

I think it is impossible to beat LA with physical damage, as it likely should be with his setup and MPR.

However, this does not imply that we must have dual damage type characters. It is just that the ToE is very effective in doing what it is setup to do.

Especially combined with high AC, a TSA/PL HP wall and multiple minions.

well , your average hits is about 300k per. I seriously doubt any "x" can help that. If I remember correctly this set up can be used with about 2.4mil MPR character equipping : 5mil HP , Decay, 2mil TOE, 34mil NW in AC wall, backed by PL.

600k HP will only let you equip half that armor.

I'd like to see how much a DD spell and enchantments raise it compared to Skills and HP/DX/ST.

ToE grants undispellable SS. Hardcore.

But only on the minion wearing the ToE, not that hardcore.

put TOE on my 6mil HP mage : SS = 25
on my 600k wall : SS= 15
on my 20hp E : SS= 15
Too Tiny.

My next char is definitely going to be using a ToE + Wall set. Sounds fun :)
