Need a Nice New Ranged Supporter Item (in General)

got to looking at the special items shopping list and sure would be nice if Jon come up with some novel ranged weapon like the SoD again for the supporters..What would you like to see yourself? I cant seem to find a good ranged weapon anywhere that I can use at this time and need a bailout ranged weapon !!! :)
Bow of Drain. requires archery to use. unforgeble, unblacksmithable. deals 1 damage per hit. cheap to upgrade to +100. drains all STR, DX and DD from target. immune to PL.
how can you upgrade to +100 if you can't blacksmith or forge it?

Rough idea off the top of my head. Something that does poison damage. Works like VA but reverse. Amount of poison damage is based on the x. As for the name of the item lets just call it a Goblin Bow.

Introducing a new missile weapon at this stage of the game, especially with money being rarer is not generally a good idea.
When the MoD was introduced, Jon shortly after almost removed it since nobody was buying one.
There are many reasons for this phenomena but some are:
1) People already have a known weapon that their character is set up for.
2) It is easier and cheaper to find a premade weapon and insta up for a less than BS cost.
3) Nobody really knows if the new item is worth it, why spend the money to up one if it may not work that well. If it is something that obviously is OP, then it will be nerf bait. Perhaps not for years like the exbow, but hopefully sometime.
I would not expect a new missile weapon unless a missile salvage yard is introduced. And I really do not expect that.

Drain is OP as it is. We don't need anymore Drain weapons.
Physical ranged doesn't need anymore buffs, in my opinion. With a ToE, high HP, and 104 AC I still die in 4 rounds to most archers, which is absurd to me, but I won't say its OP with defenses like GA and EC around, as well as the lame exbow.
Seeing something to buff ranged DD would be interesting however.
I think if you want magic damaged increase use AGs instead of NSC. DD damage shouldn't be as easily increased as physical damage, that's why there are not mage staffs. I'm taking this from the FORS:
Q: Mage staffs would be cool to augment magical power!
A: private explained why this is dumb with more patience than I would:
Tanks: Can become more powerful than mages, but cost lots of money to maintain. Mages: Tend to be cheaper than tanks, but also tend to be less powerful (and less able to deal with armor penalties)
I think this provides a nice balance between spending money on your chars and spending exp on them; I see no reason to change it.
