Clan stuff (possibly fixed?) (in Changelog)

AdminNightStrike June 12 2009 12:36 PM EDT

Regarding the clan join bug...

1) I changed the text on the admin page to reference VPR, as that is what really matters.

2) I found what I believe to be the bug, and have a fix, but it's not a fix I want to commit until I run it by Jon. So, you'll have to wait :)

2) Jon ok'd it and uploaded the changes... Fire away...

QBRanger June 12 2009 12:43 PM EDT

Thanks!!!.

Hope the fix is the problem!

QBRanger June 12 2009 12:43 PM EDT

Duh, Fixes the problem!

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] June 12 2009 12:56 PM EDT

I could be wrong, but it seems the "VPR" went up 1 million compared to when it was MPR.

AdminNightStrike June 12 2009 1:03 PM EDT

All I changed was one letter in the display text.......

AdminNightStrike June 12 2009 1:03 PM EDT

(and, prior, it was PR, not MPR)

AdminShade June 12 2009 1:09 PM EDT

# Rank / Bonus: 12 / 12.1%
# PR / MPR total: 20,240,539 / 11,506,696

Is this still PR and MPR based though?

Lochnivar June 12 2009 1:13 PM EDT

I think the bonuses are mpr/pr related, but admittance is VPR based to stop 'unlearning' to squeeze a big char in

AdminShade June 12 2009 1:15 PM EDT

unlearning will decrease VPR though, so that still works somehow :)

Lochnivar June 12 2009 1:16 PM EDT

um... I was pretty sure unlearning did not affect VPR.... VPR = MPR if fully trained (iirc)

AdminNightStrike June 12 2009 1:18 PM EDT

Well, unlearning does remove 2% of your XP...

AdminShade June 12 2009 1:19 PM EDT

Which was my point. :)

Flamey June 12 2009 1:35 PM EDT

"All this number tells you is the maximum PR you can accept on a single Character."

Probably want to change that PR to VPR.

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- June 12 2009 2:23 PM EDT

The max VPR you can accept is 231,384.

AdminNightStrike June 12 2009 2:29 PM EDT

Done

Messbrutal June 12 2009 2:30 PM EDT

Great job NS, I am glad we have you around to help and fix those bugs.

blackshadowshade June 12 2009 5:07 PM EDT

I, for one, am looking forward to any changes that fix the clan cap problem! Thanks, NightStrike, for your work!

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 12 2009 5:32 PM EDT

Seconded!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 12 2009 5:34 PM EDT

woot! thanks.

AdminNightStrike June 16 2009 11:48 PM EDT

Ok, so Jon accepted my change. How do things look now?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 16 2009 11:52 PM EDT

whoa! max we can accept is almost 7m?

AdminNightStrike June 16 2009 11:55 PM EDT

We didn't change what's displayed.. just mad eit so that when you try to accept someone under the number that's displayed, you aren't rejected.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 16 2009 11:58 PM EDT

so, should ours be over 3 times more than what it was a few hours ago?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 17 2009 12:13 AM EDT

"The max VPR you can accept is 6,938,800."

that is what we are at now, we were at 2,257,000 or so a few hours ago with no one changing characters out or anything else i can think of that would explain it.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 17 2009 12:32 AM EDT

9m here

Mikel [Bring it] June 17 2009 12:51 AM EDT

quick quick add someone :P

J/K!

Flamey June 17 2009 1:25 AM EDT

1.3 mil from 130k :D

QBRanger June 17 2009 10:56 AM EDT

The max VPR you can accept is 601,143.

Wow, we were just at the VPR cap before this change.

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- June 17 2009 1:43 PM EDT

The max VPR you can accept is 2,740,810.

200 to 500 to 2.7m

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 17 2009 5:11 PM EDT

so is this a bug or is this accurate?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 18 2009 2:14 PM EDT

bump

AdminShade June 18 2009 2:38 PM EDT

This is accurate.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 18 2009 3:13 PM EDT

"We didn't change what's displayed.. just mad eit so that when you try to accept someone under the number that's displayed, you aren't rejected."

this is why i thought it was buggy, it certainly changed what was displayed for many.

QBRanger June 18 2009 3:31 PM EDT

Dude,

You and me both.

AdminNightStrike June 18 2009 3:48 PM EDT

Yeah, so apparently it did.

What's displayed is (Max Size) - (Current Size)

Max Size didn't change. Current Size, however, did. So yeah.

Whether or not the calculation for Max Size needs to change is yet to be determined.
