395 BC, the Spartan hegemony is weak, the city states of Greece rise to face Sparta in battle.
Athens, Thebes, and Corinth must now face the mythical armies of Sparta for control of Greece.
How it works:
Players must apply to a faction to play in, Athens, Thebes, Corinth, or Sparta. I will make the final decision as to who plays for what faction.
Rules:
Sparta:
The Spartans are equipped with the finest weapons and armors, and as such have no restrictions. They may use (lesser) tattoos, and any DD spell other than decay. They will start with $1,000,000 each. Spartan teams must be no more than two minions.
Athens:
The Athenians may unlock all rare ranged weapons, but may not use any rare melee weapons. They may use any armors, except tattoos. They may only use Fireball and Magic Missile for DD spells. Athenian teams must be four minions.
Thebes:
The Thebans are a rising power, built upon the hoplite. They may unlock any rare melee weapon, decay, shocking grasp, and all armors except tattoos. They may not use any rare ranged weapons. Theban teams may be any minion size.
Corinth:
Corinth is the closest city to Sparta, and is used to combat with the best. Corinthians may use any armor, including lesser tattoos. They may unlock all melee and ranged weapons. They may use any DD spell except for decay. Corinthian teams must be more than two minions.
All factions may use any EO/ED spells they want.

How do you play?
The map will be posted soon. Every day, you will be able to take a certain amount of actions depending on how many available team-mates you have. The leader of a faction must chatmail me their actions with the following template:
[Tournament Character name] moves to [Location] and does [Action].
There is no definitive list of actions, you can try anything! You can spy, assassinate, ambush, battle, siege, build a navy, help allies, declare war, pillage...anything!
In addition, once per day, you may request assistance from the Gods [Me!] You may ask me anything! My response may or may not be helpful, I may give you a riddle or I may answer your question directly. This question can be about anything you want. Some things are, however, beyond the scope of an oracle of the Gods.
Also, you may use my godly powers to send allies money, or if you want, to bribe your enemies.
Deals may be made in private or in public, you do not have to tell me about any secret alliances.
When choosing an action that specifically targets a member of another faction, you may be issued a challenge. Every teammate present for the challenge will have to defeat every defending faction member within 3 squares, or two diagonal squares of the location of the challenge.
There is a small percent chance, different for every faction, that a even a lost challenge can turn into a heroic victory. In the event of a heroic victory, the loser has all troops involved in the challenge sent back to their city, and all troops in the winners sphere of influence are sent to the border of their nearest ally.
Movement on the map
Any player can move one space on the map. You can move with stealth or simply march through a territory, whatever you want. Every day I will send each faction leader a list of the locations of their members. When moving players via navy, you can move any amount of players two spaces per turn.
Faction Relations
Your faction will have both internal and external faction relations. Your external faction relations must be posted and updated daily. Internal relations must be chatmailed to me. Internal relations determine whether or not you will attempt to intercept forces moving through your own area of influence.
How to win
There is no set win condition, everything you do comes into account when I decide the winner. The winner can be a single faction, or an alliance. I will choose two players not involved in the tournament to deliberate with me on who the winning faction was.
Prizes
$40 million, split evenly with all winning faction members. Faction leaders will earn 1.5x what a normal member will make.
When posting here, please post your application to a faction in the following format:
I, [Username], request to fight for [Faction Name].
If you are interested in being a faction leader, post your application and then chatmail or PM me.
Field Values:
A set of fields highlighted in purple indicates a trade route, only control of an entire trade route will yield any daily income. All income may be divided as seen fit by faction leaders.
