QBRanger August 5 2009 3:02 PM EDT

Remember you will see it after you train, your new MPB that is.

Nice change and thanks.

AdminNightStrike August 5 2009 3:03 PM EDT

Hmm.. some sort of caching issue. That might have to wait.

AdminNightStrike August 5 2009 3:06 PM EDT

With more help from Jon, that issue is fixed :)

Lochnivar August 5 2009 3:07 PM EDT

Go Team Awesome!

IndependenZ August 5 2009 3:09 PM EDT

Very nice :)

Lord Bob August 5 2009 3:12 PM EDT

Excellent.

AdminQBVerifex August 5 2009 3:24 PM EDT

W00t!

BluBBen August 5 2009 3:30 PM EDT

Thanks NS! :-)

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] August 5 2009 3:34 PM EDT

Yay! Small changes up to now, but important ones.

Demigod August 5 2009 3:39 PM EDT

I just love the fact that updates are being made -- even if it's something I'll rarely use, I'm glad to see it.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 5 2009 5:53 PM EDT

woot! ; )

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 5 2009 6:16 PM EDT

Little Extras like this add up. Thanks NS/Jon

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] August 5 2009 6:54 PM EDT

AWESOME!!!! :D

I asked for this ages ago, but the only asnwer was that it could be done, only if the whole character was reset! :D

Pure, unadulterated, WIN! :D

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 5 2009 6:56 PM EDT

Attempting to reset Dagobah while having my T char as active resets the T chars mpb

QBRanger August 5 2009 7:17 PM EDT

One other little possible maybe suggestion:

Would it be at all possible to have something stating when the person reset his MPB.

So we can choose our GA appropriately. And not use an old MPB?

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 5 2009 7:59 PM EDT

Awesome! :)

BootyGod August 5 2009 8:52 PM EDT

"One other little possible maybe suggestion:

I'd rather it didn't ever get QUITE that easy. I mean... Come on... The only real challenge to using GA effectively is how high to train it. If you take it away, where's the fun?

This is a great change. But asking for more is akin to asking to have a portion of the game played for you *shrug* Just my opinion though.

AdminNightStrike August 5 2009 11:02 PM EDT

GA?

Lord Bob August 5 2009 11:08 PM EDT

I agree with Godwolf.

AdminNightStrike August 5 2009 11:08 PM EDT

Ah, you mean training guardian angel...

Don't you want your opponent's MPB for your GA? Not your own.....

BootyGod August 5 2009 11:33 PM EDT

He does. That's the point. Most players will use the reset to accurately measure their team's damage capabilities. But it will then be used by other's to tune their GA's.

Ranger is asking for a timer, to make sure he's not calculating his GA on old numbers because the player in charge of the character didn't reset his MPB after a change. Or a player who resets it constantly.

Honestly, I'm hoping you don't give it too much thought. It'd be a bad change, IMHO. Of course, that is just the opinion of one player (And Mr Bob!)

AdminNightStrike August 5 2009 11:42 PM EDT

hmm... Putting the reset date into the database is on the level of separating ranged/melee. Beyond that, though, I'm not sure if revealing that much information is the best thing to do. Jon had tried to expose for instance trained levels of stats, and the community responded with a resounding No.

BootyGod August 5 2009 11:59 PM EDT

I would like to say that there could be a lot of potential uses for items that affected ranged/melee weapon damage differently. Could be seriously useful one day.

Or a total waste of time XD

And can we please get a MPMB (Most Powerful Magic Blow)? Sometimes flavor is a good thing :(

Lefty August 6 2009 12:04 AM EDT

Magic Blow would be nice :D

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] August 6 2009 12:12 AM EDT

I'd rather it not say the last time I reset my MPB, because I'm going to reset it after every BA burn purely for the fact that it will keep opposing GA's off.

TheHatchetman August 6 2009 12:20 AM EDT

People actually look at opponent MPBs when trying to figure an appropriate level of GA? o.O

BootyGod August 6 2009 12:26 AM EDT

@ Hatch,

Not very useful at the lower levels of play. At the high levels, where things have a certain amount of consistency, there's no reason not to.

QBsutekh137 August 6 2009 12:29 AM EDT

Oh, Hatch. Never underestimate the level of micro other folks will go to.

Why do you think all I do is "click"? Everything beyond that is pure "feel" for me. If I ever start counting stats to that extent, find a firearm, put it somewhere in the vicinity of one of my vital organs, and firmly discharge it.

I'll love you for it.

QBRanger August 6 2009 1:13 AM EDT

It is very simple to look at someones MPB and figure out how much to learn GA for max effect.

But if it is a big problem, I am very happy with the ability to reset mine.

Thanks for the addition!!

"Why do you think all I do is "click"? Everything beyond that is pure "feel" for me. If I ever start counting stats to that extent, find a firearm, put it somewhere in the vicinity of one of my vital organs, and firmly discharge it. "

Oh me too, Sut, me too.

DoS August 6 2009 2:50 AM EDT

One bug is that if you are on a different character and try to reset one of your other characters MPB, it will reset the character that is active instead of the one you had clicked reset on.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] August 6 2009 6:29 AM EDT

I'd just use a couple of in game logs to see if I needed to adjust my GA levels.

No big loss over a reset MPB.

QBOddBird August 6 2009 11:17 AM EDT

WOOT! Go Team Awesome! Thanks NS!

Also, +1 to a MPMB addition, but I'm happy with this. :D

AdminNightStrike August 6 2009 11:58 AM EDT

Yes, it will only reset your active char...

Sickone August 6 2009 1:38 PM EDT

I have a feeling something is wrong with the display... I might be wrong, but... certainly looks like once it updates (due to training, for instance), it never re-updates (on subsequent trains) before you manually reset it again.

QBRanger August 6 2009 1:53 PM EDT

"it never re-updates (on subsequent trains) before you manually reset it again. "

Or more likely you have not hit a higher MPB.

Sickone August 6 2009 8:26 PM EDT

"Or more likely you have not hit a higher MPB."

While a bit weird, it's possible :)
What I just find it weird is that I manage to get the MPB in the first run through my fightlist (which is a relatively short one), but it remains the same after several run-throughs.

I'll try it again a couple of times just to make sure :p

Sickone August 6 2009 8:41 PM EDT

Weird, but apparently true :)
Seems like max-damage hits (or very close to max-damage) happen a lot more often/earlier as I expected.
