Is there anything which _is_ good about the game? (in General)

I'm seeing more and more threads about things which are either broken, over powered or under powered, or are not the way we want to see it.

Is there anything which is good about the game. I do not want this to get into a discussion thread, so please if you reply, put your reply in a few lines if possible.

Evasion was finally nerfed down to where it needs to be. That was good.

I like the ability to retrain and to change one's strategy completely.

Plenty of things are good.

When a game has over 100 components in it, and people complain about 5 or 6, does that make the game bad?

However, it does seem that the same things are being complained about. That should tell the developers something.

I like all the work NS has stepped up and put into taking requests from people. I like how certain admins recognize and handle the monotonous complaints. I like the forums and the variety of opinions you get with any topic in/out of game. Overall, I don't know what other good thing to say other than this is the only web browser based game I play... probably will ever play.

I feel that Ranger said it right. When enough ppl say the same or similar things about something there must be something to it. Not everything is bad just a few things that are out of sync with the rest of the game or is no longer a viable element.

Good things about the game:

-- Uniqueness. It is hard to find something like CB. I have been playing CB for more than six years. It has been a part of my life for that entire time, through all of life's aspects
-- Community. I've met a lot of great people here.
-- "Pay for Play" aspects get it right. One doesn't have to spend real money to compete, but when one DOES spend more money, it enhances and personalizes the experience. That's nice.
-- Jonathan. One thing I have been missing in the game has been the fact that Jonathan doesn't seem to be around as much. When one misses something, that is a pretty good indicator it is good.
-- Variety. Forging, bonuses, tattoos, fighting, offense, defense. Sure, after several years one can begin to feel it is all "old hat", but that's after YEARS. Facebook barely lasted me a year before I canned that garbage, including all the games and community elements it had built in.

I personally dislike when some admins prematurely close down threads.

It is already 11 days into changemonth and we're bored.

Some aren't bored, at all... but a hint would be cool!

I'd like to vote that I am a wonderful addition to this game/community.

No javascript in forum posts is good.

On other sites I frequently visit, there's a ton of scripting and phishing and such going on via the use of javascript in forum posts - it makes me increasingly thankful that Jon had the foresight to disable that here.

To this I will add:

No signatures in the forums.

Tournaments.

What is not to love about this game. The fact there is so much whining /arguing/discussion over the few little things that are seemingly out of balance with the rest of the game, only shows that the community cares.

Anyways, a visit to any other free to play game's forums will give you a sense of perspective that will make ours seems like one heck of a nice place.

It's quiet in here, I say.

The strategy and excitement of figuring out how to overcome an opponent that is live and doing the same thing to you keeps this game top of the list. That is Awesome. And addicting. (-- in a good way ). CB makes me frustrated one minute and elated the next. CB is fun. Complicated enough to be interesting and not boring and simple enough that a basic strategy (if that is what you like) can also be effective and have rewards of success as you overcome one opponent gain experience and go after the next. And the next... and the next.. :)

I like that it changes. I miss the more innovative changes that we used to get, but is is so very cool when a new item is dropped into the mix that has everyone scrambling to try new strategies.

I love the Morg. It's still my favourite thing in the game. I used to love UC, but it doesn't feel the same way it used to. I love the TSA. I love the SoC. I love tanks.

JW is in loooovvveeee.

I've looked for other web based games to spend my time on. None have been able to draw me away from CB, and I don't even spend BA anymore. :/

CB ticks a lot of the right boxes. In additon to what's been posted I'd add;

Lack of level caps
No resets
Item Naming
Changemonths

No better long term Player Verses Player system exists.

I have very little idea why I like the stuff I do.
So, you're not going to get an answer from me.

However, I have been playing now for longer than I care to remember, so it must be good ;-)

GL hit on a big plus for me. As a level-grinding nut, CB offers me a never ending fix for my addiction. No, I'll never win the top spot. Heck, I'll probably never break 6/20. But I will be stronger than I was yesterday! And that keeps me playing.

Kano-san cries "Burning rainbow moon palm attack!" is totally awesome.

I really like the friends I have made through this game. Hope someday to meet them IRL.
